No but guys like Karkat knew that he probably wouldn't be able to contribute greatly toward the big fight, but he still wanted to make a difference regardless, believing that even a small nudge on his part could help lead them to victory. Which just kind of emphasises how any step or input in recovery/any given situation, big or small, is valued and shouldn't be undermined - it's still a mark of progress and bravery, and we should be proud of ourselves because of it.
