I am sick, so I decided to try making a palette drawing! ^-^ It's not THAT good, But I'm proud of it, and he was fun to draw.

Karkrisprite

A/N: I may have flubbed a few things to make it work but take it at face value!  Based on this.

"Who the FUCK thought THIS would be a good idea?!"

Karkat can barely see through the crisscross net of hash tag vision.

Hash tags.  So many hash tags.

"Who in their right mind would think to prototype two of the most irreconcilable personalities unless they thought this would be some real funny joke?!"

"Karkat, please, lower the volume."

"Lets take the most thoughtless, selfish, condescending snob under his deluge of politically correct rhetoric and mind-meld him with his dancestor.  HA HA WHAT A SIDE SPLITTER."  Kankri's wince is satisfying.

And that is exactly what has happened.  Kankri and Karkat are sharing the same body, and already they are demonstrating just how unstable they are in this homogeneous nightmare.

Karkat internally prays for quick, painless self-destruction, but Kankri unwittingly reads his thoughts and intercedes with a finger pointed to the sky in a declaration of fortitude.

"Now, now Karkat, lets take a moment to collect ourselves and reassess this situation.  It appears we have been prototyped--"

"No SHIT?"

"--but if I may be so bold as to suggest this might not be as harrowing as you make it seem.  In fact, this could be a rather serendipitous circumstance.  I have been wanting to get to know you better, Karkat, and our last conversation left much to be desired--"

He smacks Kankri in the face and, by default, smacks himself as well.

Their face twists chaotically, mismatched eyes twitching intermittently and out of sync as they struggle inwardly for dominance.

Kankri wins the battle with a finger pressed to the crease of their lips.  Karkat stills instantly, the contact so surreal.  This reaches far beyond the realm of invasive; they are practically sharing the same pan.  He can read Kankri's thoughts and peek into his memories but it's all so damn irrelevant right now.  It's all so fucking overwhelming.

Kankri's thoughts never cease.  His internal dialogue is glutted with just as much sesquipedalian loquaciousness as his verbalization.

He's just as awful and insufferable on the inside as he is on the outside.  There is literally no distinction.

Kankri, however, has found himself a goldmine in Karkat Vantas' secrets, an entire treasure trove of unspoken sentiments.

As Karkat scowls, Kankri arches a brow.  Something inside has clicked, and when they next speak their voices have merged.

"Goodness, this is FUCKING STUPID."

"Karkat!  Watch your language!!"

"HELL NO SHITSTAIN I cannot believe you are so foul mouthed!"

Their face distorts, rage and distress warring with one another.

Kankri covers his mouth but it doesn't stem the flow of unchecked profanity.

"This is so problematic.  How will I be able to assist as a guide if I my sermons--CEASELESS BLABBERING--are--KARKAT!!"

Their coherency only seems to devolve with every passing second they coexist until Kankri turns on social justice autopilot and begins to pontificate about the treachery of periphrasis shaming.

Karkat spites him by peppering his lofty speech with colorful swearwords and sexual innuendo.

"There's something to be said about 69ING WITH MY DANCESTOR--"

"--woah!"

The sprite whirls around to face the origin of the voice.

Karkat is standing there looking shell-shocked, his eyes wide, head rolling back at he gawks at the floating abomination.

He'd been standing there the entire time, rendered speechless by the travesty he'd prototyped.

He literally picks up his slack jaw to speak.

"I really wanted to burn you--er, me--but this is WAY more than I bargained for."

A blur of red and the sprite is in his face.

"You did WHAT?!"

Kankri is lost somewhere, possibly swept away in the tsunami of Karkat's blustering temper.

"Well, at first I was laughing my fucking globes off because fuck you.  Have I said that lately?  Because it bears repeating, and I thought hey, this will really stick it to that .  But now I regret it.  I deeply regret it.  I mean, look at you."

"This is heinous behavior Karkat Vantas, even for you.  To prototype two beings from two different planes of existence with opposing personalities simply because you have some bizarre vendetta against yourself I--TL;DR!!!"

The sprite sputters, his expression warping into one of perplexity.  "What does that even mean?!"

Karkat looks on, the sheer horror of what he's done draining the color from his face.  He'd been wanting to stick it to himself--well, a doomed self in this sense--since he first antagonized him publicly, but maybe this was going a little too far.

Brows knitting, he jabs a finger into the sprite's chest.

"Blow up now or so help me I will vacuum you into the void of the furthest ring never to be seen again--"

The sprite's long, wispy tail encircles Karkat's waist, hands squeezing the troll's shoulders.

It's smiling--a bad omen.

"Karkat this is so wonderful!  I am utterly delighted and flattered that you missed me so much you thought to prototype me as your guide!!"

Two matching groans echo into the atmosphere as the sprite urges Karkat into an embrace only for him to be punched the second he complies.

Karkat thoroughly believes there are too many him's running amok but this takes the fucking cake.
