Hey, for anyone out there feeling really unhappy about the AI art situation going on, I did some digging today and found some hope.
This probably isn’t news, but a group of folks at the University of Chicago are developing a cloaking device called Glaze to lay over your image posts to help mess with AI. You can get on their mailing list to try it out when they finish it.
They’re also trying to put pressure on Washington to create legal protections for artists. Here’s some info and the GoFundMe for that.
It’s not a lot--and not the only option obviously--but it helped me feel a little better.
