Patron of Science, Innovation and Pyromancy, Karokic
Karokic in the 'scholarly circles' of Wizards is often commented to be a 'failed Magic God'. He is wild ideals, he is the being that inhibits rebellious magic students that ultimately drop out, he is the god who was supposed to become the God of Magical Patterns, but failed and was rejected by Ivani herself. No self respecting family wants a Karokic in their family and anyone who begins to act out either is expelled as a black sheep from the family or gets an exorcism in hopes they can make their child 'normal' again. He is the 'failed god' who will bring ruin to traditional values
Karokic is the Patron of Science, Ingenuity and Technology. He was the one who gifts mankind with inspiration-much like Gati does with architects-to build strange new devices to make their lives easier and better the future for the next generation. Karokic is always thinking about the tomorrow and the possibilities that the new day can bring while Ivani stays stubbornly and refuses to change. Karokic is change itself. Because of how he is viewed and his actions as a patron, he is also reveled as the patron of rebellion along side the Patron of Thieves; a symbol for those who wish to break away from what to them is oppressive traditional roles. Karokic as a warlock is an inventor; what he lacks in magical skill, he makes up in spades with mechanical talent, he often bequeaths his creations to his warlocks-provided that they come back to him with full detailed reports on how they functioned in the field and any flaws; only the best being given to mortal-kind to be used globally. The Warlocks to him are essentially beta testers. Karokic is hailed by artificers and tinkerers alike-popular in gnome and goblin communities as they have a large number of their kind becoming machinists due to their small nimble hands. The sheer benifits of a Warlock that serves Karokic isn't necessarily magic-but powerful artifacts. It's basically him giving you a really cool gun that shoots pellets that cast high level fireball.
Karokic is noted for being the patron for pyromancy as he is enthralled with fire and flame and frequently implements it in his work-resulting in often bone shattering explosions from his domain. When a warlock passes on that serves Karokic, they are often delighted to be able to work endlessly in his labs, fulfilling their dreams of creating the next things that will advance mortal kind. Karokic was once subservient to Ivani, their relationship much similar to a teacher and student. Ivani tried train and change Karokic to be the ideal patron for her and to behave how she thinks that a patron should behave. However, the relationship is much like a parent making a child scrub the bathroom floor with a tooth brush and when they claim they're done, the parent wipes the floor with a piece of bread and says 'if you can EAT this willingly-I'll consider it done.' It was not a well or healthy relationship. It is said that Ivani finally expelled and gave up on trying to change Karokic when she caught him 'cavorting' as she put it with her hated enemy Acacious the patron of thieves. Karokic and Acacious are often historically depicted in mortal texts are dear close companions while in poetry and myth they are lovers and many love sonnets are often written, asking nothing more than the companionship that Karokic has for Acacious in any form it is given.
One story tells that it was Karokic who designed and made thousands of warforgeds for the Patron of Time herself to use and how he gifted the knowledge to make mechanical people to mortalkind to use how they choose.
