Song Review of the Week: Karol G - Alguien Que Te Amaba (NEW!)

I will admit, I have tried again and again to get into Karol G but it just never really clicked for some reason. So, when I saw she had a new album out I almost skipped it... Until I saw that Suzette Quintanilla (THE Selena's sister) posted that she worked with Pete Astudillo on one of the songs!!

He was one of Selena's principle songwriters and responsible for many of her biggest hits - he often dueted with her as well so if you hear Selena singing with a male voice it is most likely Pete.

Anyway, back to this song. They recaptured the sound and the magic so well! Down to the 80s style drum machine, you can tell immediately that this is his track. It has a great groove and breezy tone, she sounds fantastic. One could say it is just a rehash, but I don't care! It is a beautiful homage and came out perfectly.

The rest of the album still didn't grab me, but this will certainly be on heavy rotation in the coming months.

I'm trying to find a good outfit for Karol G's concert this Saturday and I'm stresssssing bc I have a tropical crop shirt but yours truly had endometriosis surgery last month and I've got 4 new scars that I'm iffy about !!!! and don't even get me started on SHOES 😗
