Hey, regarding your "I'm trying to convince myself German is fun": Did you ever try to have a closer look at German expressions and proverbs? Some of them are so absurd and funny, like e.g. "jemanden Löcher in den Bauch fragen", you can't possibly give up. If you want to, we can do a kind of language tandem; I'm a German native speaker, so whenever you struggle with anything, just feel free to ask. It just might take me a while to respond, I'm still in Spain right now. :) Karo

What was/is your favourite subject? Uhm chemistry? I loved math in school, but in university it has become one of the worst things ever (physics even worse though)

If you had the chance to be part of the mission going to Mars in like 10-20 years, would you go? No. The journey takes far to long.

What’s your favourite place to go on holiday/vacation? Austria. Somewhere where the mountains are very high, because then there's not very much light pollution and you can see the milky way at night :) Plus it's awesome for hiking.

She has never been threatened - and obviously not realised it’s not about you but about human and civil rights in general. Her comment’s like saying “You can’t be against animal experiments because you’re no animal”.

Yeah, that seems likely. =/ But to be honest, even if it were only about me - of course that topic is a big deal for me. Because depending on where I am, where I might go on vacation, who I meet, who might see my gf and me hold hands ... it could endanger my life. She just doesn't get that. And I really, really hope there'll never be a moment where she has to realise it, because something has happened.
