At first he tried it but this kind of work bored him like nothing did before and he left the guard to become a mercenary. He often helped elves and dwarfs what brought him a high reputation among them, especially because he regularly speak up against the way humans treat elves and dwarfs in some areas. Karouk never settled down. Even if he had many lovers, male and female alike, he never lost a word about. Instead he would redirect the conversation to something else. People love him for his respectful behavior towards everyone. Even as a mercenary he is a man of honor but also the one you want to talk to when you feel down. He is a talkative person and once he got a beer too much he will start rambling about the majesty of the Varsipel wolves. His body is marked by almost thirty years of fighting with various scars and badly healed wounds and broken bones. Despite being in pain a lot he never shows it and continues to help out where ever his word is needed.
