Nothing about this day went the way that I thought it would and I've learned to be ok with that. I've grown a deep respect for the moments when the universe slows me down ( though I'm still not particularly fond of when the universe SITS me down). My head is full of ideas. My list of things to do today is up to 20 and growing (I live somewhere between expecting too much from myself and pretty much fucking over hours that could have been far better served doing something worth doing...I just be scrolling) Every single time I go below the Mason Dixon, I come back with all of this clarity that I usually tuck safely away in a notebook. I promised myself on the way back this time that I'd act on my musings full throttle, hence the long list. I gonna get it all done today though. I've been drinking coffee since I was 9. When I younger I hated this red mole that's just left of the center of my head. I didn't know anyone else with red moles so I figured something must be wrong but didn't dare ask anyone about it until I was full grown, at which time my doctor called it a strawberry. Fast forward a few more years and I am working at an elementary school and a first grader asked me about it so I told him what the doctor had told me. He smiled and said that he would call me Ms. Strawberry and did. The name stuck so if you're ever in uptown Manhattan with me and group of brown children start yelling for "Ms. Strawberry", it's all good, tons of hugs are headed our way.
