This is a drunken rant about anxiety.
My anxiety is like....choosing to think about/act upon certain things each day because I know that I can only take so much before I overload. When people ask me about something that is coming up that I need to get done, while I'm still trying to get through the stress of the present, I just really want to tell them not to ask me about it. No, I haven't figured it out, because I literally CAN'T think about it. It will push me into a state of mind that I don't want to be in. I worry about everything, even when I don't mean to. When I was younger, I learned that houses could sink into the ground over time and that there is a disease that shuts down all of your organs and I immediately started worrying that these things were going to happen to me. So yes, I worry about everything anyway, but if I can not worry about something because it's not affecting me right now, I'm going to. So whenever someone tells me to start thinking about getting an apartment, a car, going back to school, or getting a better job, I want to scream. Don't ask. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, because adding it to my list of worries will only drive me into deeper depression.
Does any of this make sense? I'm drunk and might just delete this later.
