before dating, the two of you had never really crossed paths

despite both being drama club, she’s typically the lead and you work with tech

and it’s not like she’d seek you out or anything because she always has people all over her

but one day her mic isn’t working so she asks her beloved hori-senpai to fix it for her but he just pushes her onto you

you’re mindlessly fiddling with the lighting, wondering which hues would best fit the last scene, when a hand gently taps your shoulder

you nearly jump out of your skin and cautiously turn around, only to be met with a flirtatious smirk and a hand cupping your chin

“hello, princess. it seems that my microphone isn’t working well, could you perhaps fix it for me?”

you gently remove her hand from your chin and nod silently, before reaching for the device and adjusting it

“here you go, kashima-san.”

what??? no reaction??? no blushing?? not even sparing her a single glance?

“e-eh?”

when kashima doesn’t make an effort to leave, it suddenly dawns on you that your shyness could be interpreted as rudeness, so for good measure you briefly make eye contact and offer a small smile. “good luck with the play, kashima-san. do your best!”

and just like that, her heart began to race. your shy smile and words of encouragement, devoid of any ulterior motives, is enough for her (or anyone, really) to fall for you.

of course, she’d never tell you that. so she settles in confiding in her senpai.

“hori-senpai, i think i’m in love.”

“i don’t care, leave me alone.”

it takes a whole month for her to speak to you again, and another two for her to ask you out. you say yes, giving her the same shy smile and brief eye contact.

the first few weeks of the relationship are painfully awkward. kashima seems comfortable enough—she holds your hand in between periods, eats with you at lunch, kisses your cheek when parting, and walks you home after school. she’s the perfect girlfriend, really. but you’re so introverted that you naturally shy away from any attention.

also, you still call her kashima-san. even after dating for a whole month.

“[Y/N]! STOP CALLING ME KASHIMA-SAN. MY NAME IS YU. YU, OK?”

“ok, kashima-i mean... yu.”

kashima pumps her fist at the small victory, pressing a chaste kiss to your forehead.

hori already knows you, obviously, and likes you a lot (you’re polite and reliable, the exact opposite of your girlfriend). mikorin thinks your cute and nice, and playfully flirts with you to get a rise out of kashima. nozaki likes you because you’re quiet like him, and the two of you can comfortably enjoy silence together. and chiyo ADORES you, and you adore her. you two confide in eachother about anything and everything, quickly becoming fast friends.

kashima loves how well you fit in with them, being worried at first because of your shyness. surprisingly it wasn’t a problem, but what was a problem was PDA.

whenever she shows you an ounce of affection, the entire female population is watching you intently, as if they were about to jump you at any moment. not only was it frightening, but the amount of attention was enough to make you want to disappear.

though PDA makes you embarrassed, you’re much more receptive to her touch when you’re alone. when it’s just the two of you at her house, sometimes you’d absentmindedly reach out your hand first when watching tv.

or you’d lay your head on her lap and forcefully place her hand on your hair, as if you were silently ordering her to pet it.

(and sometimes, when you’re feeling bold, you’d kiss her long and slow, leaving her a blushing mess.)

she likes the times when the two of you are alone.

HOWEVER, there is a time when she prefers the two of you being out in public😏 that’s when people are flirting with her

she loves making a big deal out of it😭 brushing off whatever girl is trying to get her attention and politely saying, “i’m sorry, i have a GIRLFRIEND. an extremely beautiful GIRLFRIEND whom i love very much. oh, there she is, my GIRLFRIEND. i’m sorry i have to cut this short, i’ll be joining my GIRLFRIEND now.”

tbh you don’t even care when people flirt with her. 1. because she’s pretty, who wouldn’t flirt with her? and 2. because you trust her

but she does notice how you grip her wrist a little tighter after each rejection, and silently laughs, pulling you even closer

I have like nobody to talk about Yaribu, so I‘m gonna post some things that have been on my mind for some time, which will hopefully be answered. (Please, I need someone to talk about this manga!)

I am convinced that Tonoo, Kashima and Yacchan will have a threesome. (There is no way around it, I‘m pretty sure Tonoo and Kashima will end up with each other, and if they don‘t introduce a new character as a love interest for Yacchan, it will probably end with the three of them together.)

I don‘t see Jimi x Yuri. Even if Yuri obviously has a thing for him, he has been with Tamura for so long that I wonder if they don‘t actually have feelings for each other (?) Especially since Tamura denied it so persistently, and Yuri always seems to be clinging to him.

I also don‘t see Tamura x Yacchan, even if it would be an interesting couple. Yacchan would probably go all dom on him. xD

Shikatani... first I found that boy so irritating, but with more and more chapters, he definitely grew on me. He‘s quite weird, but he is actually best boi.

I hope that Shikatani and Tonoo will be abled to become closer. They have so much potential as friends. Their talk while eating the watermelon was so adorable.

I‘m also dying of curiosity what was going on between Akemi, Minami-senpai and Itome. (I‘m actually afraid that Itome turns out to be a psycho. 😱😰)

And also Akisawa-senpai and Kon-chan (the dark-haired teacher)! Argh! I want to read their story so baaaaaadly! It‘s an itch that I can‘t scratch. 😭

Huh. This was shorter than expected. 😐 I have more to say than this, but it would fit a character discussion-like post better. 🤔 Maybe I will do a post like that as well. We‘ll see.
