3. How does your detective personally feel about M’s pet name? And with it now being used unsarcastically in the Book 3 demo, has that changed?
Honestly? At first Ann kind of ignored Morgan calling her sweetheart–she was no stranger to pet names, Bobby still calls her angel to get under her skin, and she’s old hat at ignoring him by now so at least initially, Morgan was much the same. Pretty much the only thing Morgan had in her favor over Bobby was that she respected Ann’s boundaries and didn’t push her otherwise, so they did end up bonding, and by the time Morgan’s nickname is genuine in the book 3 demo, well, Ann’s kind of surprised she’s even around considering she hasn’t slept with her yet, so I don’t think it’s quite registered yet. She does call her sunshine, though! 5. Saying that M has the carnival picture, how do you think your detective will react once they find out they have it?
Yeah, remember that bit I said about Ann being surprised Morgan is still showing interest in her by the time of the book 3 demo? She’d basically be the same if she found out Morgan had kept that carnival photo. Damn, I kind of hope that happens now, because that would be fun to play.
14. What do you think drew your detective to M? And when exactly was the moment, where it was “yes, I like them” (If they’ve admitted that to themselves, of course) And if not, what’s stopping them at this point?
Well, first of all Ann just has a thing for jerks, so jot that down–
All joking aside though, getting past the physical draw I think the thing that really drew Ann to Morgan is that she… respects her boundaries? And is actually really sweet when she wants to be? Like yeah, she’s disappointed that Ann doesn’t want to sleep with her yet and she teases about it every chance she gets, but she doesn’t actually push it. She’s willing to move at Ann’s pace. And, well, Ann was already partially gone by the end of book 2 but Morgan’s reaction to the cheek kiss and then basically just exploring the carnival with her… yeah, that did it.
