Are Kassilik / Lykos hair colors the same as the individual's fur(orange/black hair on a tiger), different from the fur(red hair on a grey wolf), or depending upon the individual (like one white-furred Kassilik has white hair and another has blonde)?
Depends on the individual!
Would a Dragon sleeper get to design both their dragon and their humanlike form? And would Bestial(sp?) sleepers get to design their beasty forms?
Nope! You design your humanoid form, and it generates the second form for you based on that.
What Races tend to live in icy climates? Arctic areas, tundras, tops of mountains? And what clothing have these ice-dwellers developed to stay warm?
Lykos and Dragons mostly. Some types of Mer live in arctic seas, too!
Lykos generally have their own fur. Dragons who live in the arctic don’t seem to have much trouble with cold so they can wear normal clothes even in the snow. The Mer don’t wear clothes.
A few kinds of Kassilik do well in the tundra, too! These are also ones who have thick plush fur, so clothing usually isn’t as important to them either.
For those without fur, like hybrids or some kinds of humanoid Lykos or Kassilik, or other races who decide they wanna live in a glacier, they have special clothes. The outside is tanned leather made from a specific monster that dwells only in arctic regions - its hide, when treated properly, resists water and ice. It’s coated with a water-element crystal powder oil for some added resistance. The middle insulating layer is made of heavy fur treated with a special fire-element crystal mixture. The final innermost layer is soft fabric. Coats and pants made in this way are supposed to be worn either over a layer of normal clothes, or over some longjohn-type insulator clothing. Coats have hoods lined with fur, gloves as part of the sleeves, and masks that can be pulled down from inside the hood to protect the face. The masks are made of ANOTHER monster’s hide, which allows light to pass through when it’s stretched thin enough while still blocking wind and cold - that way, people wearing them can still see. Those masks are fairly valuable and hard to make so most people go with goggles and a heavy scarf instead if they’re only visiting the arctic briefly. The pants taper down at the ends fitting closer to the leg/ankle so they can be easily stuffed inside socks to seal in the most amount of body heat.
For those with wings, you’ll have to special order some coats. Wings are easily damaged by ice; they have to be kept inside the coat, so some adjustments will need to be made.
For those with tails, the pants are big enough to tuck in your tail, but it might be wise to also tie it to your leg to keep it from moving around and causing discomfort. It’s not wise to let your tail stick out, since it IS a limb even if it happens to be a furred one. Unless you’re an arctic-type Kassilik or Lykos, tuck your tail! (lol)
These arctic clothes are usually colored white with mottled pale blue splotches, so if a nasty monster is sighted the wearer can blend into the background and hopefully scoot away unnoticed. Non-white/blue clothing is for people making a target of themselves and purposefully hunting arctic creatures.
Do Kassilik and Lykos get super duper extra floofy when it gets cold
certain subspecies do, yis
desert-dwelling types don’t though.
If a Kassilik fits, do they sits
yes absolutely
they also rly like high places, and small crowded spaces where they have no business being (like under a bed or something)
Are Kassilik and Lykos babies born minimally fluffed and deaf/blind like kittens and puppies? Or do they pop out fluffed and blinking like humans?
They pop out looking more like human babies all naked and stuff with minimal amounts of fur on their wrinkly lil raisin bodies, and they’re deaf and blind the way kittens and puppies are. They’re also significantly smaller than human babies, and tend to be twins or triplets.
If they’re gonna grow fur anywhere, it happens within the first few weeks, and their eyes open in about a month. They can hear after about a week. Unlike human babies, Kassilik and Lykos children can walk easily within the first few months, provided they aren’t somehow disabled or sickly.
Would different cat/dog breeds be different subraces or would all of the "domestic" Kassilik/Lykos be under one subrace? Since all domestic dogs and cats are the same species
They’d be different subraces!
