Blame Kat's 2am thoughts:

So, basically, Brian Thomas lives rent free in my Brian, and I wanted to share a character study my brain formulated at 2am last night. So, here we go.

At first, Brian seemed like a funny, caring guy. He was pretty much best friends with Tim and good friends with Alex. He was cheery and a good friend. So, what made him drastically change to Hoody? Here's my thoughts: I have two ideas. Betrayal and Abandonment.

Let's start with betrayal. Brian trusted Alex, and Alex led him to the abandoned hospital and attempted to kill him. That would have made Brian hurt, confused, and angry. Focus on the angry. Brian would most likely wake up in the middle of the woods with memories missing and just a gut feeling that Alex tried to kill him. He'd assume that everyone thinks he's dead and that Alex if knowing Brian is alive, would want to finish the job. So, Brian would become Hoody to conceal his identity. Then Masky comes into the picture as his partner in crime. Both after Alex and both trying to stop the Operator. Then Jay comes in and takes Masky away, and Masky doesn't come back. One more betrayal. Brian fidns out Tim lied and knew about the Operator, another betrayal. Brian would be pretty pissed by now.

Secondly, abandonment. Alex tried to kill him and abandoned his body. Tim didn't bother to come looking for him, hence Brian assumes Tim abandoned him. That stung because he was Tim's best friend. Then Masky abandons him due to Tim teaming up with Jay. Brian felt like Tim chose Jay over him and abandoned him.

All of this on top of years alone would make Hoody closed off, aggressive, and manipulative. Hoody would blame Jay for bringing Alex back but also thank him so Hoody could kill Alex. He'd see Jay try to figure things out and formulate a plan to get rid of Alex and the Operator. Jay finds Tim and Jessica. Now, all Hoody needs to do is push everyone in the right direction.

A side note: if Seth and Sarah were part of ToTheArk, Brian and Hoody would appreciate them and try to protect them as well, but eventually they too left him.

Brian learned his lesson. Don't trust anyone every again. Trust only led to hurt. Anger is what pushed Brian. Deep down, he's just hurt and looking for someone he can finally trust and someone who he can trust not to hurt him anymore.

I believe Brian didn't want to hurt anyone because of his love and care, but Hoody was the protector. He had to push everyone away to keep Brian safe. To keep the hurt from growing. Brian would have held onto the window, asking Tim for help, but Hoody let go. He'd rather die to protect Brian than live and Brian hurt even more.

And that is what I have. This is all purely my thoughts and headcanons. So, don't come after me if I got anything wrong. I hope you enjoyed!

there will be no BINGO updates this week. funnily enough, i did not put "half of the team dying" nor "superboy becoming an accomplice to murder and world domination" on it. my bad.

episode 26 was released/leaked via the french streming site. it's apparently only avalible to watch fully in europe and the audio is, get this, in french, but spoilers and clips are circulating. as a result, i won't be on tumblr until next week, but rest assured, I do plan on staying up to watch it at midnight and making some memes.

on another note, I will probably rewatch the whole season to prepare for the finale, or at the very least the second half of it, it just depends on time. that way i can collect some thoughts on the season as a whole before going into it.

i've had alot of fun making memes and doing the bingo cards these last 2 months. thank you all for the laughs

3. Is Germany HRE?

Okay...I use to really, really believe in this theory wholeheartedly. Actually, when I started watching the series and saw the Chibitalia segments, I actually mistook HRE for a child Germany, which made me really believe in this theory. Now a days I still kind of do, but in a different way. So, at first I thought Germany and HRE were the same person inside and out, but now that’s shifted slightly. Like I still think that Germany was born into HRE’s body (since when we see his formation he appears older than most nation when they first appeared and also because they look practically identical), but since Germany is a different nation, he is has his own...soul?... for lack of a better word, making him his own person. Anyway, they are definitely connected in some way.  

4. Piece of canon you disregard?

The first that comes to mind is France’s old characterization. That was kind of yikes. I’m happy Hima learned and changed his character to be less offensive. 

5. Piece of canon you embrace?

Hmm...there is a lot, but I think one I like the most is just how soft England can be with children as shown with his relationship with America. That or the fact France lived with him during WW2 (despite not liking to think about that time in terms of Hetalia). OOOOH NO I HAVE IT!!! All of Lithuania’s Outsourcing. They are just so domestic and cute and I love it. Favorite moment from that segment is when America asks to sleep with Lithuania because a movie scared him and just...they’re conversation in bed about their pasts and America promising to support Lithuania. Its why AmeLiet is one of my favorite ships.

10. Moment you want animated in the new season?

Its kind of an old strip so I highly doubt that it will be animated at this point, but Lithuania’s Outsourcing. Like... its so sweet. Lithuania is actually happy and just seems to be having a good life. They are so sweet to each other with Lithuania reminded America about things like his glasses, America promising to support Lithuania. Its just so fluffy and at the end is angsty and honestly looking back at what happens, almost sounds like a fanfiction, but canon. Also, I love the fact that Mr. Whale and Tony love Lithuania so much, its just so funny and wholesome.
