i'm very beguiled by rusameliet's strange little triangle. i like the idea of lithuania being so endeared to america and enjoying his company so much, and knowing his rivalry with russia thinking he and ame can relate over that. but the thing is while lithuania is undoubtedly russia's victim, ame is not; he's his enemy, practically a partner in crime (with their whole world as the stage). lithuania would have to accept that ame is also a nutcase and that they are not the same, even though i think in general ameliet would have an easygoing and almost picturesque relationship. on the other side of things, lithuania will always be russia's first love, but he also needs someone like ame, who pushes back, who is fearless, who is stronger than even him. he likes to own (lithuania) almost as much as likes the chase to own (ame).

looking at it this way you could almost believe that ameliet would be better off without russia in the equation but 1.) you better believe that's not happening and 2.) it's basically only true for lithuania. because america is obsessed with russia and always will be

Of the three ships I've attempted to archive, RusPrus is the largest. The sheer amount of fanart from 2009-2012 was so gargantuan that I had to take a break and switch to AmeLiet. Now AmeLiet surprised me with how prevelant and consistant it was in the fandom until around 2014. It was super sweet seeing how fans reacted to the episode adapting Tolys stay with Alfred. (And there was a surpising about of muscial fanworks involving the pairing as well.)

Getting into NorEng/EngNor caught me off guard, but think it's a really underrated pariring that actually compliments both characters instead of putting them in conflict with one enother. However, when it comes to the amount of fanwork involving the two...

Yeah, compaired to the last two ships, there's barely anything. Which is a shame.

Hetalia is the only fandom where I can list twenty ships I like, the think about it list twenty more and then think of more given two-three business days

What I like about RusPrus is that it's a relationship of two millenia old immortals whose nations which have given them life have done unspeakable cruelties to other nations and each other. Which means I can project whatever fluff or whump I want onto either of them and I won't feel weird about it. (I don't like abuse for the sake of abuse, and these two have carried a grudge since the 12th century.)

What I like about AmeLiet is that they're two hardworking 19 year-olds who grew up too fast trying their damnest to be normal. Doesn't remind me of anyone. Nope. No one at all.
