She knew she was getting worse and worse the more the event dragged on. It felt like it dragged anyway. But with someone around to give her what she wanted she didn’t need to escape as bad. Why leave when you had a roof over your head? A good roof, one of the best places she had been since she was a kid anyway. Sure she spent time in a cell but she would probably be there anyway eventually if she escaped. She jumped at the sound of something coming closer, her now dull blue eyes looking in the direction it came from but her head was swimming and all she could make out was the beautiful silhouette of a woman. “I’m fine,” she said waving her hand. It was probably that bitchy guard. “I just needed a minute away from everything.” She nodded, more than sober Kat would have.
“I’m fine.” She whispered.
