People are just so used to see actors abusing of chirurgical interventions that they're forgetting what you're supposed to look like at 60. I found Carrie F. magnificent in her role in The Force Awakening. But of course, we're talking about her physical apparence and not her performance. Sigh.

I mean I get it. I get the influence tropes and patterns have. The media have been forcing us with certain stereotypes for ages now. But after a point some critical thinking would be useful.

Like use your eyes and use your brain. People age. People get wrinkles. People put on weight. People have hardships. People have health issues. People eat and sleep and drink water and go to the toilet. People laugh and cry and their face and skin changes. People are …people. Human beings. No one is a perfect image no matter how much photoshop and advertisers and pr consultants and plastic surgeries try to convince us for the opposite.

Do you know which people age gracefully? Those that do not mess with the concept of time. Those that are not driven insane by it and try to stop it by any means possible. Those that accept their age and do not pretend they are made of plastic.

There are some actors and actresses that can literally alter the world. They can feed our dreams with their art and acting. They inspire us. We should respect their talent. We should respect their contribution. And their beauty. And that kind of beauty has nothing to do with age and and how bodies naturally change in time. That kind of beauty even transcends time. Carrie Fisher portrayed General Leia Organa Solo dude! Her role has been a cinematic brilliance! Way ahead of its time when it first appeared on screen. Star Wars have written history and is the kind of franchise that is immortal and will never die.

And there are idiots out there that have the audacity to look at real breathing people and judge them for the fact that they are human beings and obey nature’s laws of age and time like everyone else. Unbelievable.

Enough when people are telling them that we HAVE to welcome migrants. Personnaly I'm more afraid about HOW we're going to do this and how our politics will manage this situation. We could do good but lately we have more skills to screw everything we touch than for anything else.

I agree with you for the migrants. Each country should absorb only those that can and are laws about this. But we are not talking about migrants here. Something that we should all try to remember.

And no one really should do something they do not want to do but we should try and understand why we are in the first place as human beings so reluctant to help other human beings (politicians and media aside). And while I agree that there should be a border control to differentiate the migrants from the refugees and act accordingly based to what each country can do at the same moment you cannot avert your eyes when it comes to people are coming from a war zone and are dying in your borders and show no mercy to them. When it comes to war refugees there are established international human rights laws universally and they exist for a reason and we cannot simply refuse to abide by them simply because they annoy our comfort zone.

And when it comes to Syrian refugees (they are not migrants) I find it extremely unfair. Because it was a country that always welcomed refugees in their time of need and now that they need it we are treating them like a burden. And maybe they are a burden for what a country can take but it should a burden would should be willing to carry. As much as any of us can. This is a humanitarian crisis. This has to mean something.

While I undesrtand that it has to be proportional, a lot of people know how to accumulate social help and do not care to find a job. These same people will have a free access to the hospital and whatever care they need freely while others that actually contribute to the system won't even be include in the assurance one. I do understand that too. But here in Greece for example we have an economical crisis. We can provide literally nothing to these people and we already have way to many migrants and refugees. We are 10 million (which most of us are already suffering and are in the middle of our humanitarian crisis) and we have 2-3million already and people keep coming and coming. Every single day we receive thousands. It is suffocating really. And yeah I understand the need to enforce some control but at the same point you CANNOT simply close your doors to people that have else nowhere to go. We are talking about war refugees here. Countries are not just their borders. They are their people and people should most of all be humans and when you see another human being suffering then you give them a hand and you try to help as much as you can. You do not just avert your eyes and let them die and then make peace with yourself by saying we have already helped some so we done our “duty” and let the rest of them burn.

At least this is the way I am seeing things. I feel like we are disconnected from our humanity lately and we are ready to serve laws and faceless societies than people in actually need that cry for help. And I do not feel comfortable with this.

Mostly because we are so many nations in Europe. If for ONCE we were to sit down and try to find a solution collectively and with more sensitivity and selflessness I am sure we would. It would not be perfect but it would be better that what is happening now. And we are simply too divided and selfish to do so (each country concerned).

I'm with you on this. It saddens me to no end but to do this kind of copy, you have to have to book at your side, there is no way you remember that well how the phrases follows, some reorganized but having the same words (not even using synonyms). I hate people that steal other people's work and I feel sorry that I followed and enjoyed something that was plagiarized. Thanks to the post I saw this morning it ended today. This shouldn't not be addressed. We have to at least inform others.

Obviously we have to wait for her answer, what she has to say, but certainly she can’t come and say, “I memorised the whole book and involuntarily I copied word for word without realizing it.” C ’ M O NI understand what fans of this author are trying at the moment (I love her stories for God’s sake!). They are in denial: they don’t accept what happened - okay, I can get it -  but blaming the two girls because they exposed to sunlight this plagiarism… it is unhealthy! 

 I can understand (but don’t support) what drive people to commett  plagiarism, especially if the thief in question admits what did and takes action  (remind we all are humans, and some can be more weak than other). But this doesn’t justify the other people to attack khaleesistormdancerqueen and anastasiadreams. 

They did what all of us would have done.

I agree! Mine wasn’t intentional though, it’s a habit I developed in high school and haven’t been able to shake. I went to a performing arts high school, coolest and most whacked thing ever, but I used to have like three periods of music a day and one of them was Music Theory. I had it my sophomore and senior year, worst fucking class with the most psycho man for a teacher, essentially I did absolutely nothing in that class. And we had a test every Tuesday, and for all tests including mid-terms/finals, we had to listen to like long excerpts of classical music (I s2g it was always Tchaikovsky) and the test was to write the beat patterns by ear. 

We’d do classwork, here listen to Vivaldi’s ‘Spring’, everyone sit down and close your eyes we’re listening to Tchaikovsky’s 5th symphony, that was my life. I used to do my homework for all my other classes in that class, and I started writing in that class so now I prefer to write listening to instrumental music. I’ve tried waning off of it and listening to like the radio, and my brain is just not having it, lmao.
