I definitely get what you're saying. I just started playing both ssjyp and ssbts so I'm noticing a lot of difference / similarities in gameplay. I sorta feel like overall ssbts has more difficult beatmaps than ssjyp. Especially the older albums. like, I play thru 2 cool 4 school on hard once thru and then it's like bounce isn't as hard. lol. But my also you're right about the card leveling. I basically have all s / r cards for my top teams but like I never have enough to level my cards in ssbts.
actually I think ssjyp/sssm have a greater difficulty range than ssbts (if that makes sense) The easier hard beatmaps on ssjyp/sssm are easier than the ones on ssbts (spring day, lie etc) but the harder/hardest beatmaps on ssjyp/sssm (GOT7 - Hard Carry, f(x) - Kick etc) are definitely harder than the harder/hardest ones on ssbts (Cypher + We Are Bulletproof).
tbh nothing will ever come close to f(x) - Kick
