And I do not get why people hate Kate so much. Everybody on the show had issues. Tully was a very needy friend and she wanted someone stable in her life which was Kate. She never had a stable home and in some ways Kate took the caregiver role in their relationship. But Kate had issues too. Yes, it might not look like she had issues because she wasn't a lesbian in the 70s and neither did she had absent parents but that doesn't mean she didn't have her own set of issues. Her whole life everybody of importance had preferred Tully over her. Sean wanted Tully to give speech at his wedding. He was always more close with Tully. Her parents too had a liking towards Tully. Johnny was also into Tully before her. Her kid prefers to talk with Tully too. So, no she didn't have it easy either.

Stop hating on her so much. Everybody in the show have issues which make them flawed.
