That awkward moment when this was originally supposed to be a music blog (about my music) wtf happened I mean I guess feminism or queer stuff or something but whatever yeah by the way I make the songs

Anyway So this is a song(ish) music thing & this is the part where ordinarily I would prime potential listeners with some statement like "this is rly awful but listen anyway" but hahaha I'm not going to apologize for my works or make excuses for them or justify them so boom okay glad that's over It's about a girl I used to knowwwwwwwww - I wrote it a long time ago and a really rough 40-second version recorded with my old macbook pro's pinhole mic on a dorm room floor has been sitting on my hard drive for like 3.5 years and I've always been fascinated by it and have pulled it up many times since then and thought about ways to redo it/produce it This (the time when I wrote it initially) would have been right around the time when I first started to think of myself as a musician and not feel like I 'didn't deserve to say that' despite a lot of consistently invalidating influences because fuck, I just want to sing, and I always have, and I don't care if I'm bad, and everything else can just go fall into a toilet - And it was a magical time because I was finally not failing out of school and I was so full of ideas and now that I wasn't pretending it was partly a joke I could actually, like... do my ideas... kind of. __? Same era that produced Mercury Glass, which my mother maintains is the best thing I've ever made in my life (hrnf thanks Mom) I'm going radio-silent on my Soundcloud until summer because I'm stockpiling material for a larger release of new home recordings in July or August - but don't worry, participants in earlier art exchange (Maddie; Mariyama) will receive packages from me once I am back in the US where postage is reasonable and packages tend to arrive within a month of the date that they're sent - and for the tiny chickens following along at home (lol there are like three of you (*sigh* diva kate loves you forever)), I will keep posting new things hereeeeeeeee and if you don't want to see my audio posts or want to wait for the big dungdrop this summer I will tag all music thus: #kateaudios Ok boogerbutts now that this is out of my trap perhaps I can get some actual work done up in here I may make changes later I just desperately needed to get this out of my body
