In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
Margaret Mitchell - Gone with the wind - I'm still surprised how captured I got into this book, wooow.
Carlos Ruiz Zafón - The shadow of the wind - I just like books about books, and writing, and writers. And it's beautiful.
Philip Pullman - His Dark Materials trilogy - One of the most original ideas I've seen so far in literature. Even though I didn't really like the ending, I have a sentiment for these books.
Andrzej Sapkowski - Saga o wiedźminie / The Witcher saga - A great fantasy story by a Polish writer, but as far as I know it was translated into many languages, so if you ever have an opportunity, give it a try.
J.K. Rowling - Harry Potter - oh God, it used to be such an important thing for me, I was in the fandom, I met so many people thanks to it, with some of them I'm still in touch :')
Marcin Mortka - Karaibska krucjata / Caribbean crusade - Once again a Polish writer, the story about pirates (Pirates of the Caribbean-style :D) and it was very funny!
Stephen King - Misery - Did I mention that I like books about books, writing, and writers? Yes, this is another one. Actually, there are two stories in it, in a way - the story about the writer, and the story in a book he was writing. Although I have a specific attitude towards King, this book I really liked.
Terry Pratchett - Mort - I put this one to represent my, however short, adventure with Pratchett. I've read about 15 books about the Discworld (Mort I liked the best), and then I came to the conclusion they're esentially the same.
Maja Lidia Kossakowska - Siewca Wiatru / The sower of the wind - Seriously, what's with me and windy titles? Anyway, it's the first part of the saga, but it can be read separately, the other book is basically another story. It's an angelic fantasy. Quite good. Doesn't have an English translation, I'm afraid.
Boris Akunin - Erast Fandorin series - ok, Akunin's detective books are simply great, end of story.
I'm not tagging, because it seems that most of my followers have already been tagged lol :P
