➕ - For humans, plaque is the main cause of bleeding gums, and to reduce that, they should brush their teeth and use floss regularly. For someone like Yarnaby, if brushing teeth doesn’t work, someone would need to apply gentle but firm pressure in his mouth with gauze. Ice can also help because it can constrict blood vessels and minimize bleeding. There’s also a saltwater rinse, but that would be difficult for him; although I’ve heard from a specialist that if you wet a black tea bag and hold it against the gums, the tannins inside the tea bag also constrict blood vessels like ice.
