It’d been a long night, and all Katherine could think to do was show up at Zachary’s doorstep. She knew better than to ring the doorbell, so she texted him and let him know that she was sitting outside of his house in her car and waiting for him to come outside. She was pretty sure that there was still blood on her uniform, but she didn’t have the time to change into civilian clothes before coming over to see them. Katherine knew that Zachary’s wife was home, but she didn’t have anyone, and she knew Matthew couldn’t see her like this.
