NO ONE CAN MAKE THEM QUIT BEFORE THEY’RE DONE! ( n.ewsies live according to tumblr user racetracktm. )
real actual tabletop rpg advice: go in blind if your group is open to beginners and you know your gm is a patient person whos willing to teach i reccommend not even giving it a thought before going for it you may want to read over the basic rules if you're not familiar with them but it is so SO much more fun to just say 'ok yeah what does the party need? a fighter? cool I'm a uh... paladin who never backs down from a fight or a bribe." and go with it. Having one or two major traits and a name leads you to make character decisions in the moment and generally not overcomplicate the character. the biggest issue i have with rp is that i tend to overcomplicate characters and they become more and more difficult to rp. i also become attached to them leading me to make less risky and fun decisions in the long run. plus, you dont know the restrictions of the game so you can try whatever the hell you want.
Looks like I found your mom's parking spot.
