The First EPs Take Flight
It's official: "K" is now in the hands of those who pre-ordered my Digital Download, and MAN is that a nerve-wracking thought!
Anyone who ordered through FanPush, or directly bought the Download through www.katherinepenfold.ca, was just emailed a copy of my new EP.
Funnily enough, I never thought about this moment. For my previous albums, the whole process of creating and releasing that music was fathomable and quite simple. This EP - 5 tracks and all... it's taken more of me than those previous albums combined.
Now that the first comments about the new tracks are beginning to flow in, I'm realizing what's happened and what has been happening for the last 5 months, and I feel incredibly grateful to be at this point; to have had the chance to work with Winston Hauschild and Fader Mountain Sound, John Raham and Afterlife Studios, all the beautiful musicians that ascended onto these wisps of songs to become the catalysts for whatever magic may lie within them. Thank you so much to everyone who had a hand in making "K" what it is. It was such a wonderful, new adventure that is catapulting me into my next, new adventure.
