Kathli... well, I gifted him to gargoylesister so he's hers, but I hope she doesn't mind if I say that there's a spot on his back near the top he can never preen properly due to his huge beak!

Kathli's got big dreams!

Kathli Summerborn is a young Rito who moved with family to Zora's Domain. He stays with his aunt and some cousins, and doesn't find the new climate too difficult to adapt to. Common Kingfishers live near water, and even have hydrophobic (water repelling) feathers! So, Kathli is in his element.

He's very gregarious and loves hugs.

Kathli's aunt heard through the grapevine that Zora's Domain was looking for an apprentice weather watcher, as their current Zora is planning on leaving the Domain. Sona, the Zora in question, making plans to move and start traveling with her partner Sardon. Sona agreed to take on and train a replacement, and so the search began!

Kathli was introduced, and he and Sona made an instant connection. Kathli's a little young (preteen) but maybe that's really the perfect age to start learning!

After getting the hang of the local weather patterns, Sona & Kathli set out in conjunction with the Royal Survey System of Hyrule to start gathering information better to train Kathli with. They end up trekking all around the coastline, even as far out as Eventide Island, and often run into other surveyors like Ikki (@inali-of-winterfell).

He's got a lot of learning and growing to do, and he is up to the task!
