The Talk show host, Gernaldo Rivera was an Usher. Edgar Winter, model Penelope Tree, Andy Warhol, Amanda Lear and Diane Von Furstenberg were among the guests. The suit and gown was designed by Roy Halston. Sly paid $10,000 to have costumes not just for Himself and Kathy, but for Sly’s mother, Mrs. K. C. Stewart, Kathy’s mother, Mrs. William Silva, Sly’s sisters, Rose, Vet, and Loretta, his brother Freddie, his brother-in-law Bubba, his friend Buddha, the members of The Family Stone, three backup singers with The Family Stone, and twelve young black models who would appear onstage at the wedding. The Couple would divorce two years later though.
