The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Katie Lumsden

I really enjoyed this gothic read. It's the closest feeling I've had to reading Jane Eyre since, well, Jane Eyre. Lumsden's love of Brontë shines through loud and clear, and makes for a fun read if you are a Brontë fan. Lumsden also crafts a good mystery, which I'd kicked myself for not figuring out when I thought I'd figured it out (far too late), but I was still wrong, so that delighted me.

I'll be keeping an eye out for what Lumsden does in future!
