Painting of the Week! Sunflower. About a month ago I painted a sunflower. It was dreadful. Truly. I turned the painting into poppies or something else I was more comfortable painting. A few days later I found a sunflower that wasn't so bad; it was a sample from a class I taught. Seeing it reminded me I can teach painting a sunflower, I can certainly paint one myself. So I spent the afternoon painting this one and it makes me very happy every time I look at it.
