BIONICLE G2 AU Idea: Ekimu really is a bad person (especially to G2!Makuta), but that's because he's "programmed" to be such for a purpose, and not a good one.
Hoo boy. Man, I love making insane (or at least for my standards) AU ideas for the stuff I like. After reading a post on one way of interpreting Ekimu's character, I thought it would be a good idea to take inspiration from that and crank the results into crazy(-ish) levels.
Thousands of years ago, before Ekimu and Makuta rose to become Mask Makers, and before the two even became adults, there was only Makuta.
However, Makuta didn't grow up in a happy place. Having witnessed many incidents that left him distraught, he sought help and comfort in order to better cope with the loss of his father and all that stuff. Eventually, he stumbled upon a being who decided to grant his wish by creating Ekimu.
Unlike Makuta, who started out as a normal Okotan ever since his birth, Ekimu has never been a normal Okotan at all. Initially, the wish was granted as expected... until at certain early point in time when the two brothers were doing their work as Mask Makers.
One day, Ekimu began to ignore Makuta and hogging the spotlight from him and even stealing some of his ideas, setting off a chain of events that would lead to Makuta ultimately creating the Mask of Ultimate Power and the rest is history.
However, what about Ekimu's creator?
Well, as it turns out, they were planning all of this from the start. As one of the beings that observed life in and around Okoto evolve before their departure from the place, the being/entity in question was tired of having to travel from place to place, do nothing but study and observe, and having to never see their previously visited places ever again after visiting, observing, and studying them once. They wanted to go back to those places so that they'll have a playground of their twisted dreams.
Thus, they chose to go back to Okoto out of spite for fellow beings like them. Upon doing so, they decide to grant Makuta's wish by creating Ekimu through an unknown process... but they decide to make Ekimu into their own puppet, initially following Makuta's wish.
Until when the time is right. And upon reaching that perfect opportunity, the entity decided to toy with Ekimu and Makuta's bond with each other and thus effectively, permanently ruining it. However, upon doing so, they (the entity) ran into a problem.
When Ekimu defeated Makuta for the first time, both fell into a coma of sorts, ruining whatever further plans the entity had for Ekimu. And so, they decided to play the long game by helping create the Prophecy of the Toa and eventually making the Toa themselves as part of their (the entity's) plan.
However, when the Toa finished their mission, they later discovered the truth about Makuta and Ekimu, and thus began to rebel against the entity by deciding to make their own destiny by saving Okoto from not only its collapse, but also the various threats to the Okotans, threats including the Skull Spiders and even the entity themself.
Yeah, that's basically how this Bionicle G2 AU idea of mine will go down... as of now.
Crazy Crossover AU Idea: Xi is the actual murderer of the nine men that Sebastian Solace was falsely accused of killing.
And the Crimson Knight of Epsilon literally used some insane methods to do so.
So basically, the basic plot of the AU revolves around the nine men in question (plus Sebastian himself) discovering something anomalous that they shouldn't have, alerting Epsilon and ordering Xi to murder those nine men with stealthy and outright anomalous methods, making the whole bloodbath as something Sebastian, now the sole survivor of the whole tragedy, did for nefarious purposes... and the rest is history.
Imagine Sebastian finds out the whole truth about this and becomes really hateful not only towards Xi, but also really hateful towards whoever-the-fuck Xi works for (cough cough Epsilon and his forces cough cough).
This is really a basic-ish summary of the AU that I gave and I have had this idea in my head for a while now. Go wild with it if you can.
