AND  THAT  DISTANCE  KEEPS  US  SAFE.    while  that  was  true,    ishmael  knew  that  just  because  things  were  safe  didn't  mean  they  were  right.    maybe  she  was  just  hoping  for  too  much,    maybe  she  was  grasping  at  metaphorical  straws,    but  perhaps  she  was  wanting  something  more  with  outis,    more  than  just  safety.   

boats  and  anchors  were  never  supposed  to  fall  in  love,    for  neither  of  them  could  properly  bear  the  weight  of  the  other.

Marie's laugh echoed around him, mocking the pair of them in general, but Crow in particular for getting hit by her powerful corrupting ray. Joker had already seen what the power could do to his friends, turning them into love-struck slaves and Joker's throat bobbed as he swallowed.

"Crow?" he checked cautiously, knife held at the ready although he held his position. Maybe Akechi could resist the effect? If anyone could, it would have to be him, right? "Crow, are you alright?"

hestia paused, thinking it over further. it was rare that she got the chance to talk to outis alone, especially considering the older woman's general closeness (?) to dante. to be given advice felt almost like being given an odd gift.
