Was reminded of the existence of the song "I don't need anything but you" from Annie the musical and oh god. The lyrics. It's a song sung between a little girl and a very powerful adult man in a father role that overtly uses the language of a heteropatriarchal marriage. This is threatening to ruin my whole day.
