Okay, thaisce. How do Catrin and Jesse meet? When they reach a friends-type stage, what are their favorite memories of each other?

as for how they first met: katrin sends a message to obi asking for help on her home planet so they get permission to go there with a small group, jesse included. they drop down during the middle of the battle and at some point she gets close to him and asks if she can use his blaster then headshots like 5 droids and jesse is just like 😍😍 bc the clones respect badass women

i haven’t rlly thought of their fav memories????  maybe when they’re holding watch during a thunderstorm and she tells him all about how much she loves the rain back home and jesse says he doesn’t rlly know what home is (cos kamino isn’t exactly home for them and u can fite me abt that) and she tells him that home is wherever his heart leads him, and he starts to think that his heart leads him to wherever she goes

“hey, jes’, can you give me a hand with this?”

when he was met with silence, kix turned around, finding jesse staring off where the generals sat at the opposite end of the camp. he rolled his eyes and swatted his brother on the shoulder.

“you’ll stare a hole into her shirt if you keep lookin’ at her like that,” kix said, throwing one of the supply packs at him. “make yourself useful and help me carry these to the safe point.”

jesse sighed, sparing one last glance over his shoulder before he followed kix to the site.

“what’s up with you anyway?” kix asked. “two days ago you seemed to be fine, but now you act like a lovesick tooka around her all the time.”

jesse sighed again. “it’s nothing.”

kix rolled his eyes again, setting down his pack at the spot katrin had said would be safe for it; a small alcove that could be easily covered by another large rock, so no creatures could get it. “uh, huh, sure. like i’m going to fall for that.” kix sat down on the ground next to their pile, and looked up at jesse, who kicked at the ground. “c’mon, i’m your vod! you can tell me.”

“what are we telling?” hardcase said, coming up behind them with his own pack. he plopped down beside kix, handing him a ration bar.

“jes’ here has a case of the lovesickness,” kix said, taking a bite out of his bar.

jesse scowled at him, throwing his ration bar wrapper at him. “i do not!”

hardcase snickered and kix rolled his eyes. “hey, c’mon,” kix said gently, lightly punching jesse in the shoulder. “not talking about it is just gonna make it worse. we promise we won’t tell.”

hardcase nodded. “yeah, vod, this is really eating at you. my lips are sealed.”

jesse finally plopped down on the ground next to them, twisting his lips in a grimace. “i don’t know, i just....” he trailed off before sighing once again. “what if she doesn’t like me the same way?”

kix paused before answering, shooting a glance at hardcase, who gave him the same puzzled glance.

“i mean,” jesse continued. “why would she love any of us? we’re just clones. identical. expendable.”

kix shuffled closer to jesse so he could wrap his arm around jesse’s shoulders. “jes’ listen to me. i know she thinks so much more than that of us, of you. there’s something there that makes you special, and i know that’s what she sees.”

jesse looked up at him, his eyes full of sadness, yet hope. “you think so?”

kix nodded, offering him a small smile. “yeah. you’re just too much of an oblivious idiot to see it.”

jesse gave him a rueful smile before chewing at his lip. “i just don’t know what to do.”

“just take it one step at a time, yeah?” kix offered, scratching his brother’s head. “me an’ ‘case will always be here for you if you need us. just don’t make an ass of yourself.”

jesse grinned at him and shoved him to the ground. “you’re a karking di’kut.”

“takes one to know one,” kix said, grinning back at him.

“Are you sure you know how to work that?” came General Kenobi’s voice from the other room.

Katrin huffed and laid her ears flat against her head, stuffing the beaters into their correct slots. “Yes, Obi! I know what I'm doing!”

Jesse covered his mouth to conceal his snicker. Katrin glared up at him, her ears still flattened against her head in anger. She just looked too cute when she was angry.

“Don’t laugh at me.”

“I'm not. I promise.” Jesse kissed her forehead and rubbed the spot behind her ears he knew she liked.

That seemed to placate her for a while. Her ears returned to their resting upright position, only for them to shoot forward in surprise as the machine turned on and whirred faster than what was necessary to mix a cake. Jesse looked up and saw the shocked expression on Echo’s face he knew he also had as they both backed away from the machine. Jesse heard General Kenobi sigh.

“Everything is under control,” Katrin murmured, Jesse knew mostly to herself, and turned the speed of the machine down. “Nothing to worry about.”

Everything was eventually under control, and soon the cake was mixed and poured into the pan. Katrin put it in the oven and set the timer. Jesse held the bowl and was already licking it clean.

“I call a beater!” yelled Fives, scrambling to the mixer as Katrin released them.

“I call the other one!” Echo shouted, quickly taking the other beater.

Jesse was paying less attention to the bowl in his arms and more on the way Katrin smiled at Fives and Echo’s antics. The kind of smile that softened her whole face and made her eyes shine in the same way when they were laying in her bed late at night. That same sense of calmness washed over him as he watched her offer the spoon to Rex and laugh with General Kenobi about spoiling them with sugar. The tension drained out of his neck and his shoulders drooped.

💤 Napping HC

they both take naps on the regular

jesse cos he’s tired all the time and katrin bc...she’s basically a cat

now that she’s with him, katrin loves taking naps with/on jesse

mostly for the physical intimacy but all the clones are like fucken furnaces

sometimes she’ll just. walk in the room and flop down on him and fall asleep

jesse won’t be moving for a while alkdfs

katrin intiates a lot of naps but jesse intiates just as many

if he wants a nap he’ll hold out his arms and katrin will hug him and then they’ll collapse into bed

jesse generally doesnt nap that long bc he’s used to not sleeping so often he’ll wake up before she does

he won’t wake her up he’ll just gaze at her bc he’s so in love with her

⛅️ Sunset HC

katrin is the one who initiates sunset watching

but only to see the moon and stars after

jesse acts like he has to be dragged but he really does enjoy it

mostly just sitting with her and listening to her talk w/o being interrupted by annoying vod

he could listen to her talk abt the moon and stars and her witch shit for hours

sometimes katrin falls asleep on him so he usually has to carry her back inside for bed

💦 Pool/Beach Day HC

shameless plug of my beach day au

katrin isn’t one for swimming but she does enjoy being around the water

jesse will sometimes drag her into the water so she can win the splash contest for him

she’s more interested in the other things at the beach esp collecting shells

she’ll drag jesse with her collecting shells so she can maximize the amount of shells collected

around sunset, they’ll take a ~romantic walk down the beach~ and kiss in the shallows

hardcase, in the distance: get a room!

🚙 Road Trip HC

katrin is used to traveling for long times so she knows how to maximize the enrichment during a road trip

and i guess jesse is too?? like its gotta get boring in hyperspace but then at least he’d have fives and hardcase to do shenanigans with

katrin sings obnoxiously the whole time

jesse makes sure they’ve got all the snacks they need (bc he knows they’ll both get hungry)

katrin probably falls asleep on the way back home

jesse carries her into bed bc he doesn’t want to wake her up

💎 Marriage HC

marriage isn’t really something katrin thought about

she never really found anyone she’d want to settle down with

and why would you with someone who’s not immortal bc you’d never spend the rest of your life with them

and there would always be the faint fear of forgetting them eventually

but if jesse really wanted it, she could be convinced

it would be a mix of mandalorian vows and her culture

a ceremony only between the two of them and a small celebration after with their closest friends

fives suggests a bachelor party and jesse refuses, but katrin agrees, as long as she’s the one on stage

🎭 Jealous HC

katrin isn’t one to be jealous in a relationship

she’s used to open relationships and if someone gets jealous about that then she knows they’re not for her

but with jesse its different

he’s already got a fragile emotional state with being a clone and seen as expendable so seeing her with someone else while they are together isn’t helping that

katrin assures him all the time that she loves him she truly does and that even though he has a million identical brothers, he’s the only one for her

even if his tattoo is a little stupid
