Backstory:
Katsuo was a boy that didn't have good parents. He felt like a ghost, whenever he was around them, because of how ignorant they were. They never gave him proper care.
But one day, parents invited their kids to go to the market next to their village, of course Katsuo's little sister Yua wanted to go somewhere where she could entertain herself, and Katsuo had to follow. Their parents planned to sell them there, actually.
Luckily, their only transport was broken in half of their way to the market. While his parents argued, Katsuo found a mansion nearby, where they seemingly could ask for help.
The family entered the mansion, and parents of two children were killed instantly by Ubume, the former Lower Moon One (canon character, she isn't talked about much sadly). Yua, Katsuo's 4 years old sister, was in absolute terror. Katsuo on the other hand, was impressed.
Ubume gave the two children as much care as she could. Katsuo always thought that this mother is a blessing, even in the moments when she physically abused every child in her mansion. She gave them food, warmth, proper clothing, and "love", which was enough for Katsuo to love her genuinely.
There was once a time when he caught his "siblings" gossiping about Ubume. They couldn't love her. That enraged Katsuo and he hurt as many kids as it was possible for him. Ubume that returned not so long ago, was impressed by the boy's courage and lack of empathy. Unsurprisingly, he became her favorite child, as he kept hurting other children daily. Perfect, she called him.
Eventually, Ubume trusted Katsuo so much, that she gave him a tiny bottle (is there a specific word for this thing?) that contained some of Muzan's blood, in case something happens, he can become a demon and be alongside her forever. Katsuo saved it. Such power. He had to think about it.
After Ubume's death, there was no turning back. Katsuo was mad. He quickly drank the blood his "mother" gifted him, and eventually ate all the children in mansion. Even his sister that shivered in corner and saw him munching on other kids.
When Muzan arrived, he already saw everything through Katsuo's eyes, and praised the boy. Katsuo woved that he will avenge his mother someday. As the 3 years passed, Muzan gave him a title of Upper 5, after Gyokko's death.
Abilities: This child is a master of confusion, at least he really wants to be one, like Ubume. He turned his disadvantage into an ability, to become invisible whenever he wished to. Also knows how to form various objects out of other elements, making fragile but fast puppets of himself. He thinks Ubume would be proud of this.
Fun fact: drawing him with a crimson flower is optional. He has one on him because they remind him of Ubume. Also believes that it brings luck.
