A Quiet Ache - Una Chin-Riley/Katrina Cornwell
A/N: Day 21 of @trektober-challenge the general lot.
Una thinks she shouldn’t be pining like this, knowing she will never see Katrina again. The woman is, after all, on another planet, somewhere she can’t go. Still, still she pines, longs and hopes. They meet again and Kat is braver than ever, making her long for a day they can be together. She takes her pining to a shuttle, brings it around to save Kat when the blast happens, knocking the woman unconscious and inflicting a lot of damages on her. She takes the shuttle back, leaves Kat with Christine Chapel taking care of her, and promises herself to stop pining when she’s sure Kat is safe.
Downtime Spent Well - Katrina Cornwell/Una Chin-Riley
A/N: Part 6 for @fluffuly2023 ‘s Alt prompts.
“Number One…” “Admiral.” Quiet greetings as they end shift, Una slips into Kat’s quarters and the doors lock, Kat smiling when Una settles into her lap, content to have some quality time with the younger woman. They would never admit how close Kat came to losing her life and Una would never admit how happy she was Kat had been able to come home to her. It’s enough to be held, loved, wanted by the Admiral. “I missed you.” The murmur is soft and Kat smiles, kissing Una sweetly. “Well I’m home now Love.” She means every word and she’s not planning to leave again, ever.
