After toying with the idea of covering ‘Boong-Boong’ with ( @katws ) for several weeks, their schedules had finally aligned now that Arcana’s promotions had to come to an end. Also, she had received the green light from her manager to record the cover with Kat. Had she not received permission, Yoojin wouldn’t have known what to do because she was very much invested in their little project. It was the perfect excuse to spend time with her friend and she could get a tour of the 11:11 building. She didn’t even think to offer the Wishbone building since she had been curious of the inside of the building after seeing it only in pictures and short snippets of videos that were shared. 

Around a quarter to one, she arrives to the building with possibly too many snacks stuffed into a backpack and her laptop with a sleeve. Today was only meant to be a practice run for them, but she knew that there was a possibility of them getting distracted like she often did around her friends. Besides, hiding from the ever-changing weather inside one of the temperature controlled practice rooms was something she happily looked forward to the moment she stepped out of her dorm. 

Her attention turns to the elevator when she hears the faint ding, smile tugging at the corner of her lips lips when the doors open to reveal her friend. She quickly bows her head in gratitude towards one of the staff before hurrying towards the elevator, cheeks flushed with color from the uncomfortably warm walk from the station to the company building. “I made the horrible decision of wearing a fleece sweater.” 

“You weren’t waiting too long, right?” She asks with a playful nudge of the elbow against her friend’s side. “I brought my laptop in case we wanted to play with the song. I should have probably invited you over to Wishbone, but like I said through text... I wanted a tour of 11:11.” There was no shame in being harmlessly nosy, right?

Over the past few years, Park Seojin had the affinity for getting himself into situations that went against any form of luck he tried to pray for. In certain ways he found himself beyond blessed to receive certain opportunities that had not yet presented themselves to him. Producing songs for a group included ㅡ and he should be fortunate enough that the songs he put forward were accepted; rock melodies and all. What he did not expect was to see old faces rear their heads amidst his excited state. Of course, she fit the concept to a tee. The orchestrators of the groups did a rather good job in selecting the line ups for each group from that competition show. 

He should have been grateful to see two songs he wrote performed front and center by a rookie girl group with more eyes on them than he experienced. And yet, he had to tread into the studio with relative caution. Between Suji and Kat’s venomous tongues, there was certainly little chance for Seojin to catch a break if he wanted to continue producing songs for Arcana. It was a price he was willing to pay. Past and all, in the case of Kat. 

Sighs had been a frequent accent to Seojin’s vernacular as of late. It could not be helped when faced with another unfortunate coincidental run in. He made the false assumption that he released all his pent up negative emotions in his first album. ( Need he never mention one song was directly inspired by the woman reluctantly standing before him. )

Figures even off work, I’d manage to run into you.

What else should he come to expect? Arcana’s company was a subsidiary of his own, and work functions with obligatory participation were to be expected by that point. There was no need for him to dig up the frayed nerves he managed to bury so long ago.

Waiting in line for the next person to fill their plate up with snacks seemed the only place one would be forced to make awkward small talk. He kept his arms tightly crossed.

“Kat. I saw your performance earlier.” Of course, he did. He was practically forced to sit in the audience throughout all of the stages until his own came along. Sitting still for such a long time was still not his strong suit. “You improved a lot.”
