Once I saw some people ship Laurel with Kim and Katya as a poly and I love it as well. Even though I prefer them as mostly friends lol

Here are my thoughts that came to my head just right now:

Laurel would be like the cool friend. She has interesting interests and can chat with Kim and Katya for like a reaaaaally good while. Maybe they have many in common :3

Kim is a girl with a more... Tough personality. Not in a rude way tho. I believe she has a personality kinda similar to Rainbow Dash???? I guess????? I suck at explaining personalities lol

And Katya is a more calm but extroverted girl idk lol

All I can say is that Kari (Kim and Katya's son) and Danni (his boyfriend) are very fond of Laurel. She's like the cool aunt who is your biggest friend who loves gossips lol
