The synchronization and precision of these two dancers Ketki Joshi and Arundhati Vartak are really notable. I’m a sucker for crisp and solid theermana adavus.

They are dancing to a Kauthuvam in praise of the elephant headed god, Ganapati. Kauthuvams are special items of a traditional Bharatanatyam repertoire (Margam) in which each line of lyric is spoken and then sung afterwards, with brief segments of rhythmic syllables in between.
