Kauwela...

Born of the volcano, heat beyond measure. Yet, calm seas, warming oceans, you can swim all year round. Sunshine reins supreme, as waves crash lightly on nearby Sandy beaches. Quite pleasant, the light rain as a summer shower keeps the dew moist. For some say it's the low season there, yet the sun is high and the waves are clear.

Waikīkī Aquarium and the Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts hosted Seasons and the Sea, to celebrate the official changing of the seasons, from Hoʻoilo (wet season) to Kauwela (hot or warm-dry season). Aloha, all! For some reason I neglected to post my comic strip "Calabash" yesterday featured in The Honolulu Star-Advertiser newspaper: The weather in Hawai`i is relatively the same all year around (well hot or cold/ sunny or rainy). As I was doing some research I discovered about the 2 seasons Kau Wela & Ho`oilo. literally want to reblog

every single post from ATIAC possible. It is my new favorite thing on tumblr and apparently I am now a part of the sheep because it just got featured, but I only saw it because my longtime lover (and by that I mean platonic friend) Lei reblogged a post.

I wrote more on this, but then tumblr decided that my delete key meant the back shortcut so I lost it and I don't want to write it all again. Shucks.

For all the peeps keeping up with me IRL, Japan is sweeeeet and today we went to the nearest mall of sorts in the train station. It's all good.

The house is by a preschool and so yesterday I saw a bunch of cute, cute children in little hats and their plaid seifuku and their bus. I died a little bit. Also I rode a bike for the first time since I was like ten. Dang.
