ok listen i liked project hail mary (both movie + book), iron lung, the mandalorian trailer, the dune 3 trailer, and the disclosure day trailer. BUT i am sooooooooooo tired of male sci-fi protagonists!! i'm tired of living in a world that cannot prescribe any authenticity to a female main character - because she is either an edgy emo wannabe, too quirky, too smart, too dumb, too self-obssessed, etc. women cannot just Be The Thing!!! nobody would gaf about phm if it was about a girl scientist who wasn't really supposed to be on a critical space mission and yet ended up saving the day via the Power Of Friendship. that's got mary sue written all over it. but when u put it with a dude it's "bromance" and ryan gosling and an 80 million dollar box office. like Get Real her name is Grace lets make her a Woman next time.
