@kayndie asked : “ am i dramatic? yes. is it justified? also yes. ”
HE’D BEEN CAREFULLY perched over his shoulder, not quite close enough to remind them both that he couldn’t feel her — and she couldn’t feel him — but just proximal enough that his mind could still remember what it was like to feel the echo of someone whose breath was close enough to brush you, even when their skin wasn’t. The video had been.... a little bit of a disaster, yeah. He could totally understand what her dramatics were all about.
“I mean, you’d said that this song was kinda Carrie’s passion project and she hadn’t taken anyone’s notes,” Reggie reminded her. “So yeah, I can tell that you didn’t make this dance! But if this is what Carrie wants, I don’t think you’re gonna convince her any other way.”
Still, his lips twisted up to the side when they got to one of the most unforgiving parts yet again: it was even worse the second time. He tried not to wince too hard, but he was sure he hadn’t actually succeeded in being subtle.
“You’re a stupid talented dancer,” he reminded Kayla, reaching past her and pressing the space bar on the computer to put them both out of their misery. “And all the other songs show that off. Just... I dunno... pretend this one didn’t happen, maybe.”
