Ngl, I would cry SO many happy tears if it’s true. I loved her Betty Ross and I really need Betty and Pepper to meet in the MCU.  :DDDDD

Thor Ragnarok

Ragnarok is the film that Thor has long deserved.

I loved the whole aesthetic of it. I loved the soundtrack. There were some very funny moments (the hammer joke with Korg had the cinema all laughing, and one kid asking his dad what it meant. He had to say that he’s understand when he was older!), and some very poignant ones as well (I may have teared up a little). I liked how they changed Hela’s backstory, it worked in the MCU canon. Hulk/Banner actually worked well in the film. I was a bit concerned about his inclusion, but it definitely still felt like Thor’s film. In fact, it felt more like Thor’s film than his others have. I liked all the little nods to the myths as well with Surtur and Fenris etc

Cate Blanchett looked like she was having an awesome time, as did Jeff Goldblum. Tessa Thompson was badass. All the supporting players were really good (TW3 aside. but you have to see that for yourselves).

And I liked Loki’s arc too.

All in all, I would say it’s my favourite of the 3 solo Thor films, and it sets up some things for Infinity War.

Also, two post credit bits as is the norm, so make sure you stay.

I can't get it until after my exams in June, because I know if I get it now I will not do revision :(

It'll be a lovely reward then :) I've got 1+ week before I go back to my office job so I'm trying to enjoy the free time and I can't think of a better way to do it than hanging out with Nate, Elena and Sully!

I'm too poor to invest in games/consoles, so I'm watching theRadBrad play it on youtube!. He just started today!

Brad is my favorite LPer and I'd definitely watch his playthrough if I wasn't playing the game myself :) I'm really loving Uncharted 4 so far, like, *a lot* and I'm super emotional about so many things! I didn't even realize I care about the characters this intensely! I'm also surprised by how fast I've grown attached to Nate's long-lost brother Sam. He seems as real as everyone else and I love his dynamic with Nate. Their brotherly banter is the best :3

This game fucked me up completely! I love it, but I also kinda hate it. It's awesome and you really get into it, like really involved in her life and ugh. It's so good! Have fun playing it, dear! :3

I've played through the first two episodes and I think it's safe to say I'm hooked. I love the mundane setting and how real it feels and I also like the characters, though I feel anxious every time I have to hang out with Chloe. I wish she'd put that damn gun away >__<

I won't get to see it very soon and I don't mind spoilers. I already know what to expect, but that won't deter me. I'll be able to focus on detail, of which this movie is so packed! Can't wait! You lucky one! <3

I was spoiled for one key moment from the very end, but that didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the film. It's such a gorgeous looking movie and Tom hasn't looked this good since his Thor 1 days *__*

Yay, sounds like you enjoyed it! I'm seeing it on Monday myself - I think it's the first time in a loooong while that I'll be seeing a regular 2D movie. I'm looking forward to that :D

Yeah it was refreshing to watch a movie without those heavy 3D glasses. Plus Crimson Peak would be terrible in 3D because the movie is so dark and post-production 3D often makes the image even darker. Lemme know what you think of it when you see it!

YESSSSSS I feel exactly the same way about wanting to watch it again just for all the detail!

I actually just found out that the guy who did the set design for Bram Stocker's Dracula also designed the sets for Crimson Peak, so no wonder I was reminded of Dracula! The movie is such a gorgeous mix of grotesque and delicate. And it's not just the manor that's done well, I also liked all the Buffalo stuff and really felt like I'd gone back to the late 19th century.

I'm signed off work sick (going on nearly a month) so can't see this yet & I'm devastated, not worth the risk of being seen out plus I couldn't sit through it without coughing fits because of my chest infection. I'm looking forward to it though

Oh man, that sucks :( I hope you get better soon because this movie really was worth the wait! I had high expectations for it, though I knew very little about it going in, but it was even better than I had hoped.

i thought that everything in the original movie was good but then snow white (the character, kstew, the storyline surrounding her, everything about her basically) just ruined it -__- everything else was really stunning and interesting though!

My favorite thing about the first movie were the costumes and Charlize’s super hammy performance :) The villain was always more interesting in the original Snow White story, so I really liked the Queen’s backstory in SwatH. Snow White was a really bland character in the fairy tale and I don’t understand how the screenwriters didn’t really manage to bring any life to her. I think they were more interested in Ravenna and Eric.

But I really liked some of the darker elements and what little worldbuilding the movie did, but it just made me want more Ravenna and her creepy brother and more Eric, and I wished the movie had been even darker and it felt like there was a lot of lost potential because they had to keep it safe enough for a PG13 rating and they also shoved in some ridiculous fairy tale visuals that felt like they belonged in another movie.

I also didn’t understand why they had to try force some kind of hinted romance between Snow White and Eric the Huntsman when a) she should have picked the prince and childhood friend is she was gonna pick someone and b) the Huntsman was still mourning his wife and was obviously much older than Snow White, though the wiki claims the character is supposed to be 20, which I just don’t buy.

Is it bad that I’m at the point of reading it and picturing Chris and Tom/Thor and Loki as Damen and Laurent? It really is a story that stays with you as well

Believe me I feel you, CP screamed Thorki to me since the beginning, and we’re not the only ones! Even if I could see thorki even in a couple of stains on the ground, so I don’t think I count. Anyway, it would be an awesome Thorki AU, with Thor as Damen and Loki as Laurent of course, and all the angst and scheming in between. And at the same time Damen/Laurent has become my second OTP so now when I think about CP I think about both Thorki and Damen/Laurent and suddenly feels intensify and I cry because I can’t.

it’s one of the things I worry about too with it. I hate not knowing the release date yet, I know she said on twitter she’ll announce it when she knows, but waiting is hard.

I feel you, you end up caring for the characters so much that you want them to be happy and waiting to know how things will go is nearly unbearable. Thankfully we’ll get the whole book in one go when it comes out. I hope she’ll tell us the date soon! And then we hope that the almost sure hurt will come together with delicious comfort. Let me die, I just want my babies to be together.
