Considering I got a copy of Dante's Inferno for my Dad for Xmas, I feel like knowing a little more about La Divina Commedia! - @hphmmatthewluther
What a great gift! I hope your father enjoyed a little detour into Dante's head. I know I did (she says).
La Divina Commedia is one of those WIPs I made a plan for in a rush and then completely forgot about it. I was reading Dan Brown's Inferno at the time, which is partly set in Florence, and - having been to Florence while at school - I remembered the atmosphere of the city vividly. It developed into a very strange kind of longing for that specific flair, so I decided to let my HPMA kids and extended gang go for a visit there.
Originally, it was meant to be a three part story, each part titled Purgatoria, Inferno and Paradiso accordingly. I wanted each of my three characters to be the narrator of one part, but I was too busy with other projects at the time to do more than a rough concept and plot draft.
It has been lying there in my story vault ever since, and I'm not sure if it will make it out of there, in all honesty. It depends too much on established characters to become an original mini project without a ton of hassle I'm not interested in as of now, and writing for the HPMA fandom isn't something that's tickling my fancy atm either.
But, who knows what the future will bring, right?
