He knew he hadn’t done his fair share of work in trying to build some form of a relationship with the ninja. That their occasional spats and dislike for one another were seemingly affecting things around them. Namely, the health of the Crown Prince. While the youngest prince still didn’t hold the elder in the highest regard - he didn’t wish him ill. And truth be told he did want Xander to be happy.

Even if it was with a man like Kaze.

oh haha. I just read somewhere that it was from eshop. Eshop in japan maybe? either way, i cant believe all this info’s being dumped on us. I already got spoiled on some stuff i rather would not see. lol

After numerous failed attempts to get the scared Hoshidan boy that they had found to let them in and trust them, it was decided that perhaps he should speak to “one of his own”, so to speak. While he was clearly not of pure Hoshidan blood and no one could say what had happened to him or who he was to have landed him in such a position – Ryouma had hid his son well, even Shinonome’s family not knowing of his birth and existence – it was safe to assume that his captors were Nohrians. It was best to send someone that the seven-year-old boy would be more willing to trust—someone without the stigma of Nohr behind him, even if he had fought for their army. 

Grey eyes shot open at the light, yet detectable sound of footsteps. Perhaps most wouldn’t be able to hear Kaze, but one or two of Shinonome’s caretakers had been Hoshidan ninja. He had learned to hear them, even when they attempted to evade his detection. On one hand, he was confused and almost relieved: no Nohrian he knew had such light or silent footsteps. At the same time, the presence of another person still led him to press back into cold. cramped, metal bars – a cage turned shelter – as though it would hide him.
