Myka raced to the hospital as quickly as she could given New York traffic.  And when she got there she got a few strange looks that she paid no attention to, not realizing she was still wearing the paint-splattered jeans and t-shirt she'd had on to finish putting together things in the nursery.  She'd finished painting it a couple of days ago so the fumes were gone, but she'd been working on the crib and other furniture when she got the message.  The whole apartment had to be baby-proofed too but she knew she had a little bit of time before that became a real issue.  The near-frantic agent ran into a bit of a snag when they wouldn't let her rush straight back to see Helena.

Writers, Storks, and Cops.

Helena had finally gotten Kate to agree to lunch again, though her friend was usually very busy, and so HG was very excited. Walking down to the 12th, she placed her hand on her stomach lightly. Things were moving there and so Helena hoped that she wouldn't be interrupted before she got back to Myka. 

Instead of sneaking in, Helena actually had to be let in to see Kate, but she eventually got to the desk after several people avoiding almost crashing into her. As per usual Beckett was mostly absorbed by her work.  "Ready for lunch?" she asked, tapping Kate on the shoulder.
