I've broken in the Malbec stained couch
within the mourning hour.
I've held close the perfumed life
of dishonesty and desire.
But, when I erased the chiseled jaw
that gripped my soul,
and I took back all control
Anew, you restored me.
Awakened again and living
within the means, that have seduced
a sobered bathtub gin.
I want nothing more than to pull back the curtain,
and see a seasoned chaos certain.
Don't take it delicately-
I want tenderness.
The pyramid that towers high,
and the sand beneath thee lie.
It was fatal when I took thee nigh,
But you gave me some sort of utopia,
and I could not stand the despair
of a pillowed night without you there.
So as the binder's chevrons beckon,
I'll secretly admire waxed scents.
For yearning is only but a sotted premise.
I don't even drive. Public transportation all the way.
Oregon cliches FTW!
I think I love your blog a little bit more now that I see you are from Oregon! :)
That's because us Oregonians are awesome
(and I so am a true Oregonian...I drive a Prius and everything)
