Had an amazing past week at my last KCACTF. Hosting the 50th anniversary here at UIndy was such a wonderful experience. I also had an amazing time competing in the design storm competition as the Director of Henry V! One of my favorite plays and I had an incredible team of designers for this project. They were so great to work with and came up with a bold and risk-taking design that challenged some people on what Shakespeare plays can be like. Another year of KCACTF has come and gone in Region 3. This was definitely a different year for me as I got to be on the other side of the festival as we hosted it here at UIndy. Worked a lot of tables and didn't really go to workshops this time around. But I did see 4 out of the 5 participating productions. And probably the thing I'm most proud of, I entered an unrealized design for Oedipus the King. I may not have been a finalist, but I had an awesome response session and I love my work. It was incredible having something to display at the festival this year. I can only imagine how wonderful next year will be. Met a cute boy at the pool in our hotel last night. Literally so adorable and funny that I want to hookup with him. Tonight at the party I see him with like three other girls and I didn't even get to talk to him. Now I'm super sad and hoping that maybe we'll see each other later and maybe talk more and maybe hookup another night....
