“...” A stare of disbelief flashed within the Upper Three’s eyes at the woman’s comment. “It’s not ‘that’ big.” Akaza corrected. They were full of muscle, and good size enough to grab, but BIG? He couldn’t tell if it was a compliment or an insult. There was nothing wrong with having a good pair of pecks as a man, and he went around showing them off to everyone, so he wasn’t exactly insecure about them.

“If I said the same words to a woman, I would get slapped in the face and be called a pervert for looking.” What a strange demon slayer...

He wasn’t sure what it was with everyone hugging him… but this one really caught him off guard; so much so his sword fell from his hand, and he ceased training. Wide eyes stare down at the arms around his waist as he tries to figure out who it could be. The pattern on their Haori suggest it was none other than the butterfly hashira herself. He takes a moment to process why- or how she snuck up behind him without making so much of a sound before; turning his head to meet violet eyes.

A bright red creeps across his face; and again… He’s wordless for a couple of seconds.

       Flattery is often and spoken from visitors to his temple that it has become tiresome to even acknowledge it. The years of compliments mean nothing when he views them as no more than passing words from strangers, and those sincere words of ‘You have a nice smile!’ may as well been no more than the nth compliment he had heard. Yet praise brings admiration and donations; without the latter, the bakeneko would simply have to consider other means to gathering monetary value for things. On the other hand, he didn’t truly need wealth when surviving as an ‘ordinary’ feline would serve him well enough. Just collecting money happened to make existing in the human world a little more interesting. 

       “You’re observant and thoughtful,” he purrs, hidden tail flicking beneath the length of his yukata. “Thank you for your compliment.” Geto would have addressed her had he known her name, but it is the first time he had seen her visiting the temple. Had feline ears been out on display, he might have perked them curiously, but instead he smiles, flashing the ‘nice’ grin she had complimented. “I don’t believe you have been here. Are you paying your respects?”

Every single training dummy was slaughtered into tiny pieces as soft pants left his mouth. When he wasn’t out killing demons, he trained, made sure his forms were at peak condition. The only thing that stopped him was the gentle voice of the woman, as he turned his head enough to glance a peek at her with the corners of his eyes. Right, a break... He unsheathed his blade with a swift smooth motion and turned towards Kanae. Skin partially sweaty, as he ran his sleeve over his forehead. 

“Yeah, fine.” He grumbled out, not meaning to sound as aggressive as he did as he stomped towards the Flower Hashira. “...” A pause as he stopped on his steps for a second. “Sorry, I mean, I’d love some tea if you’re offering.” He corrected himself, still some irritation in his voice. His frustration wasn’t towards her the slightest, he was merely on edge from his long day of training and the itch to get out there to rip a demon to pieces.

He carefully moved to the short legged table inside and seated himself down onto his knees on the cushion next to it. “Was there any other reason you came here, other than for the tea?” He didn’t see a reason to only come there for that, he was used to people coming there for proper reasons than to simply hang around.

" Yes. And you are very small."

"Nezuko!" Kanae smiled happily when she spotted the demon, walking over to her - but she was holding something behind her back. "I've been wanting to see you..." Her words trailed off as she moved her hand away from her back; seen carrying a black box. "Here, a present for you!" Inside was a pink butterfly hair clip.

          a small noise of curiosity broke out of her mouth, pausing to look up when her name was called and perking when she saw kanae, waving her hands enthused as she rushed up, gaining form as she went until she was about her normal height. 

it was easy to sneak around when smaller.

a pause as she listened to her speak and perked a bit before brows furrowed and she let out a muffled noise being the bamboo.

she didn’t have a present to give back, with a pause she took the present glancing up and kicking at the floor quietly, a bit miffed she didn’t have anything before looking back down at the box, and gently opening it.

a gasp of excitement burst out of her mouth and she gave a few happy little bounces before gently brushing back some of her hair, and pulling out the hair tie. the simple pink ribbon falling away, only for her to tie it around the butterfly clip, and then place it in her hair.

a small questioning grunt slid out of her throat as she looked up.

                              “——does  it?”  and  perhaps  he  was  curious, what  tugged  at  her  to  say  such  a  thing. after  all,  after  being  transformed into  a  demon  himself,  he’d  struggled  —  never  able  to  lift  a  finger to  harm  another, it  was  as  if  he  wrestled  with  his  very  nature.

did  she  want  to  hurt  others?  how  interesting.

“—tell  me,  are  you  some  kind  of  sadist?”  he  then  giggles, “—demonhood  welcomes  everyone, my  friend  —  especially  those  who  enjoy  a  bit  of  misery.~”
