Is Pakunoda your favourite Troupe member? (if not, who is, and why?)

My fav Troupe member change all the time tbh. I can’t pick a favorite one, i keep switching favs.

In general though I think my favs are usually Shalnark or Pakunoda. Like, sometimes, like lately, I have someone else as my fav, but usually it’s down to Shal and Paku.

Lately, for some strange reasons, my favorite one is…. Phinks. And I’m completely blaming his character song and the fact it gives me a lot of good energy for the day.

… but not only. I kinda really like his character? He acts tough and rude but he’s actually a softie?? I mean. For a serial murderer. You can feel he cares for the Spider, and he wants to do everything for the Spider. He has an undying devotion for Chrollo (that even Shal and Feitan makes fun of him about) and idk, he’s? Good enough?? 

And that moron got upset (with Feitan) that Killua and Gon ran away from them, and then it’s mostly Phinks who got emotional because the kids were sweet with Pakunoda. Like damn. 

and when he got played by Kurapika to the phone??? best scene ever??? thank u Phinks foor being stupid enough for doing this i love you.

….. Listen sometimes it’s good to like a good bad-antag.

I just really love antagonists that actually stick together as a family and care about each other??  this is my weakness.

But ye, like i said, in general it’s more Shal or Paku

I really love Shalnark, i think he and Pakunoda are the first troupe members I got really invested into ( :))))))) ). I love how he smiles and teases people all while doing horrible things. Like damn. He’s also really cool and as terrifying as his hatsu is, I really love it.

I justified more or less why I loved Pakunoda just before, I love her Hatsu, I love her dedication to the spider, I love how much she cares and how even there she’s ready to sacrifice herself for that. And how she stayed loyal to her word. And cats,,,, and she’s pretty,,,,,

I really like Feitan, he just… loves what he does? He’s just so much into it. And then he goes out of his way to mention he loves video games, or is the one to remind everyone that Shizuku never remembers anything, or how he teased Phinks about crushing on Chrollo like?? I love him. He’s terrible but i love him. 

 and Machi too. She’s so cool. her powers are so cool and I love how much she isn’t there to deal with everyone’s shit. She’s doing her thing, but you still see she cares for the spider, and she’s cool.

And I kinda really like Chrollo, I find Chrollo super interesting. He has such a complex view on the world and himself, and the troupe, and I find it fascinating. He’s such a great antagonist, for as much as i love to trash him. He’s really one of a kind. 

I have a complicated relationship with the Phantom Troupe okay. I wish I hadn’t but…. I do.

I mean Tyki did a few similar things before (against Allen in the arc he walked on air to get some uper ground, and It hink he used that technique when he held on Timcanpy when he helpeed Allen escape the order)

But there??? He used it as stairs??? only to shittalk Nea??

My retail job is very boring and stressful so I usually kind of dissociate and think up scenarios while I work and I was kinda thinking about like, if the main chars of hxh had their own books written about them, what would they be? I feel like Gon's would def be a YA adventure fantasy novel about a kid leaving his remote island to find his dad and meets tons of friends along the way. Killua's is probably also a YA adventure novel but less traditional, more gritty, escape from your (1/?).

old life to start a new one and finding yourself along the way type. Leorio's seems to be a story about just an average guy with a dream to be a doctor and the odds are all stacked up against him but he keep persevering and eventually gets what he wants. Kurapika's is straight up some murder mystery noir detective stuff. Hunting down the notorious band of elusive thieves that cause a danger to the public and killed his own family. Joining the mafia undercover for support and resources. (1/2)

And I think you’re right!!! It would fit all of them. Although I think Gon would be exactly what you say, + “a suddenly extremely dark book/arc” and it would be weird because wow we signed for a cute adventure what happened.

But on the other 3 I definitly agree. Killua would be also an adventure but dealing a lot about his character journey, more character driven. It would come back a lot on his past and on his thoughts process.

Do I push it saying Gon’s story is written on the third person narrative and Killua’s on the first? since in the manga we barely hear Gon’s thoughts but we do hear Killua’s a lot, and in Killua’s case it would have us explore even more his thoughts this way

The other two are really appropriate, I don’t have much to add about it! Kurapika is definitly a dark mystery noir stuff. It’ll have like, long sentences and a lot of details, few dialogues, some introspection on Kurapika but mostly third person narrative, with still a distance toward his story.

And for Leorio, ye I think it would be a lot of “overcoming normal life hardship” but it’ll be written with a lighter tone, even if it has toughter moments. It would be a little more slice of life than the others but at the same time it’s more grounded in reality so it’s impactful still and a pleasure to see him succeed. In that case he could also be a first person narrative, but unlike Killua where it would be to explore his past, it’d be with a lot of comments and off handed jokes coming from how Leorio would say it, and eventually how he would make terrible things happening to him sounds lighter this way.
