☞
☞ for my muses reaction to accidentally slamming your muses hand in the door.
“oh, shit!” it was the first reaction heather could give as soon as she noticed his hand right in the doorframe of the pool entrance. she obviously didn’t mean to hurt him, but she had slammed it in her frustration of how the work day had gone. more annoying kids, more bullshit from the owner. and now she’d hurt one of the only people who truly knew her. “fuck, keane, i’m so sorry.” she’s quick to drop her bags and immediately take his hand in both of hers, inspecting the injury. it didn’t look too bad, but it would surely bruise up over time. she looked up into his eyes. “let me ice it. come on, we’ll go to the first aid closet.”
the anxiety was coming back. maybe because the anniversary was coming up, or maybe it was everything going on lately. but it was undeniable. she felt her heartbeat turn irregular late at night, her chest clench at random times. small reminders of the panic attacks she’d once had. molly decided she needed to try something different - therapy once a month wasn’t doing it for her anymore.
she knew of the name as soon as it was given to her, and it was easy to seek him out. that old, beat down gas station wasn’t a place she passed by often, but today she made it her only destination. pulling into the parking lot, molly stepped out of her car, taking a deep breath and heading for the door of the small convenience store. once inside, she spotted him instantly - there was literally no one else in sight. behind the counter, seemingly confused as to why she was, he was there. molly carefully walked up to him, forcing a tight smile.
“uh, hi. you’re...keane, i assume?”
