Date Night

Keanu Reeves x Reader (requested)

It was supposed to be date night. Operative words being, ‘supposed to be’. Instead, Y/n had spent most of the evening working on her laptop in Keanu’s living room. They were still having a date. Kind of. Keanu had offered to cook while Y/n finished her work and afterwards, they could spend some long awaited time together.

Keanu was supposed to be cooking. Y/n was supposed to be working. Though about an hour and a half into their time, they were barely doing either. Y/n was on the sofa, leaning against the arm of it, laptop in front of her, typing away, when she felt a pair of strong hands kneading into her shoulders. “What are you doing?” she giggled, trying to pay attention to her work.

“Helping my girlfriend relax,” Keanu replied innocently. He bent to kiss the top of her head, “You looked so stressed, I wanted to help you.”

“I thought you were cooking.” She reminded, leaning into him, “This isn’t cooking Keanu.“

“I was!” He laughed defending himself, “But I came to check in on you. Are you almost done?”

Sighing, Y/n slumped her shoulders, “No. And the deadline is this Friday. I’m doomed,” She pouted.

“You’re not,” Keanu laughed lightly, “Knowing you, you’ll get this done with time to spare.” Giving her shoulders one last comforting squeeze, “I have go check on dinner and you need to get back to work.”

Y/n pouted exaggeratedly but let him go, returning her attention to the work laid out in front of her. For a while she continued, undisturbed, until she was, well, disturbed. “What are you doing now?” Y/n squinted, regarding Keanu with amused suspicion as he crouched down next to the sofa.

“I just wanted to let you know that dinner’s almost ready. And you look cute like this.”

Y/n rolled her eyes, “When I’m about to lose my mind?”

“When you’re wearing you thinking face.” Keanu frowned, “You’re really having that much of a hard time?” He took one of her hands away from the keyboard, kissing each finger and then rubbing soothing circles in her palm. Gently, he placed his palm on her cheek, his familiar touch warm and comforting, urging her to look at him, “Hey, why don’t you take a break. Revisit this after you’ve de-stressed a little? Please?” He quickly kissed her lips when he saw her about to protest, “For me?”

How was she supposed to resist the most adorable puppy eyes on her favorite face? “I guess I could use a break. And it is date night.” Sighing, Y/n saved her finished progress and closed down her laptop, letting Keanu lead her to the kitchen. She perched herself on a barstool watching him finish up dinner, “Look at my man, cooking, making that wooden spoon look sexy.”

“I try.” He bowed his head; with his free hand on his chest and then turned of the stove. Keanu plated them each a serving while Y/n poured the wine. They ate at the kitchen counter, their seats pulled close together, talking and giggling quietly. Afterwards, they cleaned up, well Keanu cleaned up, insisting that Y/n relax.

Toying with the stem of her wine glass, Y/n slid off the stool, standing with a soft thud as her bare feet hit the floor. “I should try to get some work done.”

Turning from his spot at the kitchen sink, Keanu frowned, “Already? Don’t you wanna relax a little more? It might clear you head.” He hated seeing her push herself like this.

Y/n’s shoulders sagged. She understood his concern, but couldn’t help but stress about the work until it was done. “No. Its okay. I’ll try to finish up soon though.” Without giving him a chance to object, knowing he might convince her to take a longer break, she walked off, “I’ll be in the living room.”

Y/n worked on her laptop for while, constantly expecting Keanu to walk into the room, and take a seat next to her. She had cleared out some of her papers for him and everything. But he never did. Instead of dwelling, Y/n tried to push through the wall of stress and keep working, determined to end the night at least half way to the end.

She worked for a while, unsure of how much time had passed, growing more and more frustrated. Eventually, her laptop was close to dying and she hurried over to her bag for the charger. Though by the time Y/n had returned, the device was already shutting down. She hadn’t even saved her progress yet. “Fuck!” She whispered loudly, tossing some papers to the floor, tears in her eyes. Not even bothering to plug it in, Y/n plopped back on to the sofa, burying her face in her hands and she relented, letting quiet tears fall.

Keanu poked his head into the living room, only to find his Y/n with her face in her hands, crouched over, quiet sobs muffled. He had heard something fall just as he was finished in the bathroom and had come to see what had happened. Next to her was her laptop, the screen black and on the floor, papers were scattered. “Y/n?” He approached her, kneeling next her, placing his hands on her shoulders.

Immediately, she perked up. Well, she tried to, hastily wiping at her eyes, sniffling, “Hey,” Her voice shook, parts of the front of his shirt was wet, but before she could ask what he had been up too, he calmly encouraged her to tell him what was wrong, “Ugh,” Y/n passed her hands over her tear stained cheeks again, “Its nothing really. I’m just being a big baby. My laptop died before I could save my work.” With new resolve, “I shouldn’t even be crying about it, I should be trying to see if it was auto saved or starting over or something.”

Y/n tried to shake off his touch to get back to work but his grip only firmed. Not enough to hurt, but enough to get her to listen, “Babe, you’ve been at this all night. You’ll just keep getting more and more worked up. Maybe you should leave this be and take some time so you can recharge.” Y/n frowned slightly, but he had a point, so she let him pull her up and tuck her against his side, “Come on, I did something for you.”

Keanu led her down the hallway, through his bedroom, to the master bath. he pushed open the door to reveal the large bathtub filled, bubbles forming at the top, with rose petals scattered in the water. The tile around the tub was decorated with candles, the only source of light in the room and though her blurred eyes, it made the tub look as if it were glowing. The entire room smelled of lavender, already relaxing her. “Ke....” Y/n whispered affectionately, “You did this...”

“For you,” Keanu kissed her forehead, “You’ve been so stressed and so hard on yourself lately. I hate seeing you like that and wanted to help. I know that I can’t really be helpful with the actual work part and its not much but-”

Y/n cut him off by pulling him down for a kiss. “Thank you.” Her arms round his neck and he gladly returned the hug,

“Anything for you Y/n/n.” Keanu let Y/n kiss him again before, breaking their embrace, “Come on, the water only works if it warm.”

“You’re joining me right?” Y/n beamed up at him, her eyes pleading, “Please.”

“This is supposed to be for you Y/n,” Keanu argued weakly, as he helped Y/n into the tub, the warm water soaking into her body, a few deep red petals clinging to her skin.

“Keanu,” Y/n pouted, “If you get in here, this will all be way more effective.” Y/n gesture around her dramatically, pouting. ‘God she’s adorable’ he thought, watching her from outside the bath.

“I wanted to take care of you,” He offered her his best frown, though he knew he would indulge in her eventually. Keanu doubted that he could ever tell Y/n ‘no’, he couldn’t bare the disappointment on her face.

“You can take care of me. From in here.” Finally, Keanu gave up, stripping himself, walking over to the tub and Y/n scooted forward. He got in behind her, slouching down, leaning against the headrest, letting Y/n relax against his chest. They stayed like that for a while, until the water started going cold. Keanu reached behind him, turning on the heater, then started to massage Y/n’s shoulders. She hummed contently, closing her eyes, “I love you Keanu.” Her voice a soft, breathy whisper, tired eyes drooping closed as Keanu continued his ministrations.

“I love you too Y/n.” Kean responded quietly. He continued massaging her shoulder until Y/n was lulled to sleep. Then, carefully, taking care to not stir her awake, Keanu lifted her out of the tub, gently toweled her off, then got her into bed, crawling in next to her, drawing her body close to his. Everything else could wait for the next morning, when date night was over and he was sure that his girl had been taken care of.

Burning Desire | Duo

Summary: A late night at some trashy bar gets John a whole lot more than he bargained for but he’ll have to put on a fight just to keep it.

His hands are gripping the steering wheel, knuckles turning white. Your skirt is riding up from where you sit on the passenger’s seat but you’re too busy gazing outside the window to notice.

He wishes you would say something, anything to relieve him from this torture. Anything to make him forget about the fact that what he wants lies only inches away from his reach. All he has to do is spread his arm and...

“This is a nice ride you have.”

Good God, you’re killing him with that smile.

“Oldie but goodie, huh?” he catches you winking and bites down a sigh.

You’re enjoying this.

He grunts a ‘thank you’ or at least he thinks he does before his eyes are back on the road in hopes of not killing you both today.

“You get in cars with strangers often?”

He’s not quite sure what came over him, but the need to ask was almost as big as the need to touch you right now.

You smile again, extending your hand for him to take and he quickly picks up on your offer. John’s palm envelopes yours, large and warm and sweaty enough to make you realize the effect you have on him. Your smile widens.

“The name is Y/N.”

His response comes with a clearing of his throat as if to ground himself in the moment, “John.”

You settle back on the seat with a grin on your face.

“See? No such thing as strangers anymore.”

He laughs, as to why he’s not so sure. Maybe it’s your attitude or maybe self-pity once he realizes how deep in the shit he really is. You overwhelm him.

It’s five am and no diner’s serving breakfast, of course. You settle for burgers and he thinks that’s good enough as long as you’re sitting right across him in the small faux leather-clad booth.

The food arrives in little time, filling both of your senses with the scent. John’s eyes never leave you but you seem entirely invested in the little basket that’s placed in front of you.

You feel his stare and decide to have your fun with him.

Your leg grazes against his, softly at first; barely there. Yet he feels it. It’s like electricity rushing through his body and his onyx eyes twitch.

You can’t help but smile in triumph.

“Split the fries?”

He nods and you quickly grab one to place in his mouth, lightly grazing his facial hair before moving your hand away. He happily munches on them and you take the opportunity to stuff one into your own mouth, only halfway in.

John’s eyebrows furrow in confusion and he gapes at the expectant look you’re giving him, the way your lips pout for him to understand. Then your face inches closer to his and the message is clear.

Split them.

He groans and glares at the look you’re giving him; wide eyes and pouty lips driving him mad. “You’re impossible…”

His teeth sink into the soft flesh of the fry, merely inches away from your mouth and he quickly moves back to his seat like he’s Icarus and flying too close to the sun. The grin that pulls at your lips reminds him of a Cheshire cat. You wipe the bit of stray ketchup around your mouth, licking your finger clean.

John’s heart ceases its beat right then. He’s just meat and bones now, simply sitting there as the rest of your meal continues in silence. Your leg is still touching his. Your soft lips peck his own with every fry that you ‘share’ and all he does is gape at you in fear of this incredulous power you possess over him.

The fog inside his brain only clears up when your back hits the door of his house and he can feel your thighs around him, your mouth molding with his own. The weight of your body is nothing when carrying you to his room but there’s a sense of relief overwhelming him when he finally gets to lay you on the bed and he realizes that you’re still very much here, that this is not just a dream.

In the room that is twilight and shadow and sterile white surrounding you everywhere, your bodies are glued together, close enough to breathe the same air… relish in each other’s scent. He feels your hand in his hair. Oh, how you love the softness of it; dark locks tangling themselves between your fingers.

Then your hand is down his cheekbones, tracing the well-groomed beard down to his lips. He watches you in utter admiration, a mortal man paying homage to the goddess Venus herself. His mind’s enslaver.

You kiss him, long and sweet and rid him of all inhibitions. He’s yours for tonight.

A laugh breaks John out of his reverie and he cracks an eye open, stealing a glance at the disheveled you. Your gleaming eyes are focused on the hindrance that his jeans are. You want them off.

“Too many clothes…” you whimper, lips grazing his earlobe in a way that makes him shudder.

He nods in what you can only describe as desperation, making the mattress bounce softly as he lifts himself from the bed enough to fumble with the material on his legs that’s now beginning to itch the longer it restricts him. Soon enough, all his clothes are a mess on the floor as they should be and you beckon him back into your open arms, eager to rid your own clothes.

John watches a delicate hand wrap in the material of your V-neck, pulling it down enough to give him a heart attack when his gaze falls to your breasts; contained within a lacy bra and eager to be touched by his hands, his mouth.

He aches.

“You gonna help me take this off or should I just help myself?”

He growls, low and dangerous and you almost shudder at how lovely he sounds. You do shudder though when his hands come in contact with the soft skin on your stomach and slowly tug the shirt off, taking in your scent that clings there. His mouth is surprisingly soft while trailing a path to your breasts. You work on your bra while he does and his hand squeezes yours as a ‘thank you’.

He doesn’t want to waste another moment.

Your skirt follows and you feel your back arch in anticipation, knowing where John’s hands will soon reach. His fingers slide over the tiny piece of fabric that your underwear consists of and your head rocks back against the pillow as they do, the first moan escaping your lips.

He drinks that sound in, he does. Suddenly, all that’s important is making you do it again and again till you’re begging him to stop and all that’s heard inside the room are the sounds that you’re making.

He yanks the lacy barrier off and you moan again, this time louder. His eyes darken impossibly so at the heavenly sound that seems to linger on your lips. They’re more sweet-sounding than your laugh, something seemingly impossible but he swears that it’s true.

Your hands wrap around his biceps, feeling the beautiful muscles up there and pulling him closer on top of your body. There’s no space to be left between your aching selves and he accepts it, feeds off it. His finger hesitantly grazes where your burning heat rests and he thinks he hasn’t done this in forever.

He only hopes you can’t tell.

Yet you seize his movements, grabbing his hand and kissing the palm like it’s something sacred. John wants to laugh at the irony of that; those hands have killed and hurt and injured countless. It doesn’t matter when they’re touching you, of course. It almost feels like a cleansing of sorts, like redemption.

“Fuck foreplay?” his voice comes out in a grunt. He’s falling apart right in front of you and it’s hard not to bloody enjoy it.

You laugh, breathless as you are and all undone under his body, “Fuck foreplay.”

He fills you and it’s deliciously slow… until it’s not. The heels of your feet seem to dig in his behind with every thrust he gives but he doesn’t mind it. He couldn’t, not when he’s being so consumed by all that’s you.

Again and again, you squeeze around him and he grunts. He’s fucking losing it.

All he can hear is the wonderful sound of skin slapping together and soft mutters of ‘John!’ that fall from your lips. His thrusts are becoming sloppier and he’s long lost his pace but you don’t seem to mind it. You’re both impossibly close to the edge.

When it comes, it’s like electricity shooting through his body. With a single, final thrust John buries himself in you, whispering something into your neck. Still, his fingers move vigorously to please you and it’s not long until you join him.

With panting breaths and still wandering hands, the fog in both of your visions starts to disperse. You hold each other through it, allowing your bodies to mold together in the late of the night – or rather, early morning.

John doesn’t take his eyes off you once until you’re succumbing to sleep and he follows you then, albeit hesitant.

He’s fucking terrified you’ll disappear from his side should he dare to close his eyes for more than a moment, but the prospect of sleep is almost as seductive as you and he gives in for the second time tonight.

True to his thoughts, you’re gone with the first morning light.

Days like these were rare. School was out for summer vacation, Keanu and Y/n had decided to sleep in, taking advantage of the month they had taken off to spend with Charlotte, their daughter. The sun was peeking through the heavy curtains of their bedroom, there was no set alarm, no obligations, nothing. Hopefully, nothing could begin a little after mid morning. But when you have a five year old in the house, sleeping in was a dream (ironic huh?), sometimes a distant memory. Y/n was on her stomach, half laying on Keanu, with an arm thrown across his chest. He had an arm under her, curled around her waist. They slept peacefully, blissfully unaware of what was next.

Its not your laughter that gives you away

You’re just lonely

You’ve been lonely for too long

Parties. They were great, the music, the drinks, the dancing. It was all great, if you went with someone. Unfortunately, for him, Keanu had come alone. It was a birthday party for one of his old co stars and he was actually surprised when he got the invitation, they hadn‘t seen each other in years. And certainly they didn’t know each other well enough to go to each other’s birthday parties. Still, he had come, its not like he had any other plans, besides, getting out might have been good. It was better than staying home on a Saturday night.

He was standing at the bar, sipping a beer, scanning the room for anyone he knew. Anyone one who could make the experience less boring. That was when he saw her. Talking to a small group in the corner, half smiling at whatever they were talking about. He didn’t know her, but she was gorgeous, and he wished he did. In another life, he might have gone up to her and said something. He wouldn’t tonight though, the chances of a girl like her being alone were slim. Keanu would make do with being the guy who admired her from afar.

Y/n didn’t really know anyone here. She didn’t even know what she was dong here. Parties had never been her scene and every time she attended one, she’d end up finding a corner to claim after all her ‘friends’ had left her to socialize. Like they had a few minutes ago. So now, she was standing on the balcony of a house she had never been too, at a party for someone who she had barely met once.

Occasionally, someone would come to say hello, they’d exchange a few empty words. Something about how long it had been since they had last seen her, or how they thought she did great work. None of it mattered though, they were just words from people who would forget her until she mattered again. None of their words mattered, none except one. She didn’t know him either, but she knew of him. And it had shocked her when he came to stand next to her, leaving comfortable distance between them, offering her a glass to replace her empty one. “Hi.” He offered his hand paired with a shy smile. “Keanu.” He introduced himself and they shook hands.

The gesture didn’t bring sparks or fireworks. It didn’t make either of them nervous or give them butterflies. It just was. Y/n didn’t feel the need to bat her eyelashes nor did her heart skip a thousand beats. Instead his presence was calming, comforting. “I know.” She smiled, “I’m Y/n”

Y/n’s hands felt small and frail in Keanu’s. He had been looking at her from time to time through out the night. Watching as people would stop to mingle with her then leave a couple minutes later. Yet, as she leaned on the balcony railing, looking out at the hills, she looked to content with being alone. The kind of contentment that he knew well, after all, he had been alone for a long time. So long that it didn’t even hurt to think about it anymore. He found himself wondering if she felt the same.

When he took the drink to her, his intentions were of the purest. To have a conversation with someone who looked interesting. And that was exactly how she seemed to take it. No subliminal messages or undertones, Just two people getting to know each other.

Months had passed since the night of the party and Keanu and Y/n had kept in contact. They spoke regularly and met a couple times a month. They had become friends, good friends who valued each other’s opinion. He enjoyed her company, it was a nice change from being alone. And even better; to have someone calling once a day to check up on you and he liked that he could do the same for her.

Keanu had invited her to watch while he filmed, which wasn’t something he usually did. But when he had let her read a couple pages from the script, her eyes lit up and he badly wanted to see that happen again.

Y/n was sitting near the director and a couple producers, behind the monitor, her eyes shifting from the screen to Keanu actually in front of the cameras. He looked so at ease, perfectly bringing the character to life. The lines and mannerisms are the embodiment of cinematic perfection and she couldn’t imagine how they would even make it better during editing.

The scene continued to unfold before her, and soon his character reached a crucial point, an emotional realization of sorts and as Y/n continued to watch, she couldn’t help but see the parts of her friend that showed through his acting. As if there was a pierced veil, giving her a view of the man that resided beneath the act. He had never really spoken at with her length about being alone, in passing he had mentioned his painful past. But he didn’t have to tell her, no one did, she could see it, despite light-hearted, cheery personality he presented, Y/n knew. Keanu wasn’t just alone, he was lonely.

A couple days had passed since Y/n had visited Keanu on set. Tonight, they had decided to spend an evening with take out at her place in the city. Watching movies and enjoying each other’s company.

Keanu was lounging on her sofa in the living room with and empty container on the coffee table and an almost finished beer in his hand. The movie was one they had both seen already so it didn’t really interest either of them. He was only half watching and she was flipping though her phone. “Do you wanna go up to the roof?” She asked.

Shrugging, in one swing, he finished his beer and stood. “Sure.” Before they left, Keanu helped Y/n clean up, watching as she discarded the trash, in the kitchen and washed a couple spoons and other utensils. He had been to her place several times and when he was there, it felt like her, but also like it was missing that one thing that made it her home. There weren’t many things out and around, just essentials.

Afterwards, they took the elevator to the roof. Reflective metal doors slid open, revealing the large pool straight ahead. “I’ll never get this.” He began, shaking his head in mock disdain, “The penthouse is the only floor with access to this.” He gestured around to the pool, bar and chairs and tables scattered around, “You own the penthouse and yet you never throw parties. People with places like this have parties all the time.” He laughed and Y/n joined in.

Playfully, she rolled her eyes, “Maybe I like having it all to myself.” Y/n went over to the bar, fixing them a couple of drinks before going to sit next to him at the poolside, dipping her feet into the water. “Besides, you know I don’t have a lot of friends.”

He leaned over to bump her shoulder with his, “I know. I was just teasing you.” For a while after that, Keanu and Y/n sat, not speaking, just looking out at the city, with her head on his shoulder. She had done it before, and neither of them thought much of it. Keanu actually liked when she did it, he couldn’t remember the last time he was that close to someone. Eventually, he was the one to break the silence, after a few too many drinks. “Are you lonely?”

Y/n took a while before she replied, a little confused by the question. So many people usually assumed that she was, but she never really thought about it. She enjoyed her own company, didn’t mind being by herself, but sometimes, when all the lights were off and she was laying in bed, she wished she wasn’t the only person in it. When she met Keanu, Y/n hadn’t expected to make such a close friend out of him, he didn’t seem like the kind of person that let people in easily. Yet he had started to do just that, and she had found herself dong the same. Opening up about things she typically didn’t. So, in reality, she didn’t really know that she was lonely, until she met him, “Sometimes. Are you?” Y/n pulled away to study his unreadable expression.

Was he lonely? Keanu had asked her, not really expecting her to return the question. He guessed he was. Around the wrong people or after the worst of circumstances, one could grow to prefer solitude, but Y/n wasn’t ‘the wrong person’. She was the kind of person that reminded him that sometimes, you needed someone. Sometimes, alone, meant lonely. Unsure of how to answer, he mirrored her earlier response; “Sometimes.” The mood changed after that, they were both quiet again, this time deep in thought. It was probably late too, but neither of them mentioned it.

Suddenly, Y/n stood, a little buzzed from the drinks, walking over to the radio to turn it on. A old song started playing, something from the fifties, filling the comfortable silence. Placing her empty glass on the bar counter, Y/n held out her hand, “May I have this dance Mr. Reeves?” She smiled.

Keanu smiled, placing his hand in hers and pulling himself up, “You may.” Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pulled her closer, her face inches from his chest. Swaying to the music, holding each other like this felt natural, just like everything else did when they were together. Of late, he had been wondering if she could ever see him as more than a friend, and she had never told him this, but she had been thinking about it too. “I miss this.” He spoke softly, taking the chance of resting his chin lightly on her head.

“What do you mean?” She asked, getting closer.

“I don’t know.” The words were there, but they wouldn’t come, he didn’t know how to make them. Sighing, he tried to sort his thoughts out before continuing, “I miss, being close to someone. I miss mattering to someone.” He knew it was ridiculous, he mattered to a lot of people. His family, his friends. But really, he was talking about the kind of connection that you made with someone, that couldn’t be matched by anyone or anything else.

Y/n smiled sadly, pressing her forehead against his chest, inhaling his scent, “I understand. But you know you matter to me, right?”

“I know,” The song ended, and while they pulled away, it was only enough to make eye contact, arms still tangled around one another. “You matter to me too.”

Y/n’s only response was a shy smile. Briefly, her face fell, glancing down at their bare feet, and when she raised her head again, he could swear her eyes were shining, her voice breathy when she said, “I don’t want to be lonely anymore.”

Keanu returned her half smile, moving his hand to tip her chin upwards. “Neither do I.”

“Good.” Y/n’s hands travelled up, round his neck. He leaned down and she stood on the tips of her toes, their lips meeting briefly in a kiss that felt like it had the power to stop the world from turning. When they broke, he hugged her close. Their bodies slowly swayed again, not really in time with the soft music. But Y/n and Keanu were happy despite this, they weren’t lonely anymore.
